I tried to search for this, but as a newbie, I suck at it, so I'm sorry if it's been covered.
I have about 20 seeds planted, and srpouted up about 3" out of the soil.
They are under fluorescent lights 24 hours a day.
They are the standard plant/aquarium bulbs.
About 10 of them today, fell over, and all the stems feel almost like very thin, wet spaghetti, they ahve no structure.
What would cause this?
Too high of temperature? its about 85 where they are, wrong lights, or what?

sounds like your light was to far away and they stretched.
Repot them and fill in the soil to just under the bottom leaves, this should help. and how far was the light away from the tops of the plants?

let me clarify...
I have two fixtures, each has 2, 4 foot tubes.
So I have 4, 4 foot fluoros....
Its probably too hot im guessing.
Shoudl I try to lower the lights?

I use 4, four ft flourescent tubes and I have the lights about 1 inch away from the tops of the plants. No problems.

I don't finish the plant with flourescents. Just veg them. I keep the light no more than an inch away till it goes into the HPS room.

Flourescents aren't no fun though (tube ones). I know in hydro it was almost a daily ritual to move the lights up.
