I asked my GP yesterday to set me up with a referral to a canna clinic. I have ulcerative colitis, migraines.
He refused. He's a good doctor and a pretty hip guy but said that all it does is causes people to gain weight and mentioned the psychosis thing. I know he used to smoke back in the day. He told me to go downtown (in toronto) and go to the dispensaries. He said when they ask you if you have a script just say "no" and they'll let you in.
I don't know if thats true but my guy (23 yrs old and found him on craigslist) was shot in the head over $300 and half an ounce. This happened in the neighbourhood i grew up in. It's a really nice area. So i'm still in the same boat.
Any suggestions on how i can become legal? Once again, the GTA.

go to a walk in clinic and ask the doctor to provide you with a request to one of the cannabis friendly doctors who will sign. google pain management clinics etc... and one of them will have a link for you to see who you need a referral too or they may have a doctor to sign for you on site. I am sorry to hear your situation is providing you with difficulty and unreasonable access to the medication you require as well as for the loss of your friend. Feel better buddy

Thank you for your kind words. It's much appreciated. This is the reason I've embarked on my first grow. The 23 yrs old is ok. I should have said and they caught the freak that did it.

Tell your gp to do his homework cause there are studies done on how people who chronically use cannabis are actually leaner then people who don't and consume the same the diet. I wish I could remember the study if anyone knows a link please post

Uh a study just came out indicating people with colitis go into complete remission 43% of the time smoking cannabis. Tell your doctor he's a quack, because he is (ask him what the rate of schizophrenia was in 1900 and compare it to now... whoa shit, it's identical you say?) and fire him. Get a new one.

Actually if you have the resources you should sue him for deliberate attempt to cause harm through negligence (ignorance in a doctors case, can be called negligence). I have long been waiting for a doctor to get called on this bullshit. They took an oath. Clearly he isn't living up to it.

you can make suppositories from it if you need to use it that way too.
there's new information about using it for colitis and there are claims that it works very well.
i know someone with chrones and colitis but he has no interest in even trying it.
i do wonder about the effectiveness though. i believe Glenn Fry passed away due to colitis (i read that so not 100% sure it's accurate) and I am sure a member of The Eagles wouldn't have a problem getting cannabis. wouldn't he have tried??

second hand though
my wifes patients son inlaw has colitis and all he had to do was stick his finger in the coco oil/cannabis extract jar
lickhis finger and it helped him go to work..do his job..and not be stoned and not suffer
it was strong coco canna extract but he sure didn't take much of it..
