Have i topped wrong

Im new to topping as I have only lst'd and scrogged before but I thought I would use a new method this time around. I am worried that iv taken off too much? Is this ok or was there supposed to be two shoots left? Thanks in advance for any help.

Did you cut the top or did you "pinch"? Looks like you pinched the top which is possibly more "gentle" to the plant. Looks fine either way!

From what I can tell the 2 side shoots are still intact. The idea is to leave the 2 side branches and pinch off the upward growing node. I usually don't top until the side branches have poked up a little bit. You will know if you screwed it up when nothing grows from there, or some deformed crap shows up.

I've botched topping twice when I was pretty new. Once I pinched too much and only one side branch grew out, and the other time I pinched way too early and nothing at all grew out.

There are several tutorials on youtube that give you a close up view of the process. Id suggest checking them out.
