Hey everyone,
*First timer* here,
So from watching videos and reading I went about trying myself. So it is officially week 3 and yesterday I transplanted and put them on a 19/5 light schedule. Prior to yesterday they were on a 24hrs light schedule. I am rewatching the video I was trying to mimic and he had them on 24hrs til day 20 of vegetation which than he went to 18/6 light schedule...I am worried I am going to put my seedlings into bloom...?...They haven't even gone into vegetation yet. Is that even possible? WHAT DO I DO ??? HELP PLEASE.

I included a picture of what caught my attention and makes me think, the plant it self thinks its time to bloom. Or maybe I am wayyyyyy of base ? I dunno. Any comments and/or suggestions are welcomed. Constructive criticism also welcomed. Thanks !

I keep all my babies 24 hr light until the switch. As long as your not doing 12/12 or as long as they're not autos they shouldn't flower. Plus plants won't bloom until they're mature enough to do so.

Burnzy, I did my entire veg cycle on 24/0 under LED... grew some monsters in a month. If you can afford the electricity there are studies that the cannabis plant can take 24/0 without a problem.

Also, I want a sample of your grow when you're done. You've been a learning BEAST on RIU and I believe you're going to grow some fire.

Also, FYI, Veg is basically from the second they sprout, anytime they are growing under any light other than 12/12 they are in their veg cycle.

Keep up the grow! GL!

Right on ! Thanks so much man ! You are solid and my kinda people 100%

I will only give my babies the attention they deserve to grow at their fullest potential. Which is like children, I am constantly checking and learning and reading, all while participating in great online communities such as #rollitup .

As long as I don't screw up I seek to yeild the supa fiyha hahahaaa. And yes I will definitely send you samples

Thanks again my dude !

Ps. I noticed this morning a bit more yellowing on the bottom leaves. Hopefully it doesn't spread. I feel like within a couple days they'll be thriving in their new home & environment.

I love me some FFOF... its been great for me. But yeah I've heard of people having issues with it. I think it has to do with how "fresh" it is.

yellowing is normal... Same sheet happened to me... as long as your top growth stays nice and green dont sweat it. Also, know your new growth out of the upper nodes will be a lighter green. Nothing to worry about.

Just topped with vermiculite to try and help w fungus gnats. BY THE WAY, STAY AWAY FROM FOX FARM, AT LEAST OCEAN FOREST. Almost certainly gave me my infestation, cant say for sure.... But yeah, don't wanna hijack the thread too much
Right on great advice very useful and good to be aware of, I didn't know FFOF isn't the best.

Also your set up and plants look FIRE ! Keep up the good work 100

Everyone has different experiences with it...Some swear by it... others hate it.... This being my first grow and using the OF I cant complain... I also added some perlite to it to allow some aeration. Different strokes for different folks.

So my thing with fox forest is this. I used it as a large part of the base mix for my soil, and while mixing it I noticed lots of big clumps from the ocean forest bag. I was naive and new(we) to everything so I broke them up and left them in despite having white shit inside.

Then a week or so later after doing research on some fungus gnats I spied, I found tons of people posting about ffof containing this shit and generally having quality control issues as of late.

Its also junk food for you plants, I much prefer a more diverse mix of localy sourced compost and soil mixs now. Plus a secret, Agricolas high octane fertilizer mix

I veg under a 24 hour 250w MH--Ive also done grows where I veg 18/24 with no real difference in results except it seems to be a pattern that those plants done under a 24 hour light stretched less than those done under 18/24 no concrete evidence to support this nor have I read any creditable sources saying so

The vermiculite probably will make the gnat problem worse :(. It is moisture holding and gnats like things wet. There are some pretty good products out there for gnats, mosquito dunk is one.
