Have I made a terrible mistake?

This an interesting question. I'd said yes until recently. I have 2 strains that tend to grow balls on the seed plant, but this trait doesn't carry onto the clones. I don't know about the strains you are running. If you want an example of one of these check out the strain dog by bb. This strain is worth the aggravation all day.imho

Can the stress be also from over crowded root zone? I keep thinking of potential problems above ground but forgot about below. The plants look very healthy to me and very sticky with resin. Some PK13/14 went in the res a few days back, they look happy but still stretching, they're getting near the light now.

Hi Stratski, sorry for your herms.... I agree, doubt it's genetics, I've been running Dinafem strains for years without issue. I have a few Critical Jacks on day 55 of flower nearly ready for the chop. The one and only time I had to deal with herms
was after a powercut and I forgot to reset my timers so my flowering day was offset by 6 hours, It took me a week to notice. (Sagarmatha seeds, Strawberry-D-lite hermed, my dinafems didn't) I'll never know if it was the lighting error or that poxy strawberry-D-Lite strain. Here's my critical Jack for your troubles


I doubt a crowded root zone would cause herms, but I guess it could be a contributing factor (stress). I've ran CJ a few times now and it's very stable and I've stressed my plants out plenty with no issue.

Nice CJ, hope mine look like that soon. It's been 33 days since the flip to 12/12 but only 19 days since they first showed signs of flower. I have read mostly good stuff about Dinafem and I'm sure it's my growing technique or lack of that has caused it.
We did have a power cut for ten minutes, but it was back when they were seedlings.

I don't think it's your technique bro, your temps and airflow sound right and your plants look healthy from what I can see in your pics.... There's clearly balls but they certainly don't look like any male flowers I've seen, ya know what I mean? When mine hermied there were those balls but from them came little nanners which contained the pollen.... If I broke them apart I had yellow pollen on my fingers. If you don't seen any nanners or pollen maybe there is no viable pollen? If your plants have been pollinated nearly all the white hairs turn red in a matter of days.
