I had a grow room malfunction 3 days ago in which 1 of my 2 brackets holding up my 600w hps broke and slipped 7 or 8 inches down, 5 of my autos had extreme heat burn....they are on week 6 and flowering lovely until this happened and now 5 of them have been scorched so badly that the main cola has, and about 4 inches down the plant, is totally crispy! I dont really no what to do hence this thread...are they destroyed completely?? Il upload pics later

you could leave it
IMO it would probably be less stressful to just cut it off if it is extensive
ive had good luck with topping auto's dont see why this would be any different

crazy ass idea ...........aloe vera get a bottle of all natural stuff mix say 4oz of it into a water bottle u know a 32 oz on add water to the line shake well and hit the area if there is any chance of bring some of it back this would help trigger it do it maybe 2 times give 4 days and trim what ever has not responed so the engery is redirected to something that is worth the time

the idea is simple if the cell walls have not be destoried and the vein system the alow will help hydratethe leave and protect it while it heals ....think of a leaf as skin and veins

Damn dude first your filter falls and now this? May I suggest using hanging material better suited and weight rated for hanging heavy items... Something like cheap ratchet ropes or chains? Plus after looking at this picture View attachment 2710202, it doesn't look like the wood boards that you have your filter and light tide too are nailed in or are that secure. It looks like the white bracket that's supporting the right side is bowing out, and looks like you're using brackets that are nailed into drywall....

I'd hate for this to happen to you for a 3rd time....

I enjoyed 4/20 in Yosemite, so my ladies were unattended for 5 days and one of them leaned almost right up against my 400wMH lamp. 1/3 of the top cola was yellow and crispy - I just left it; tried to keep low light on that side. It didn't really affect the smoke because there was enough green surrounding the gold. I agree w/ whoever said it up there; if it's super bad, just cut off the burnt cola. Otherwise, no harm in leaving it and seeing if the plant will recover a bit where it's burnt.

First of all thanks alot for the comments ppl!

@ tekdc911...At the moment there isn't much improvement so I might top them and see what happens but I'm guna wait n see by Tuesday and if they ain't any better then that's what il do I expect.

@ justugh....I'm definitely goin to have a look at this idea tonight and I see how you put it...personaly I've never looked at it from that perspective so yea up give this a shot before I top them n hope for the best! Cheers!

@ doniboy.....yea I no mate...this is what you gotta expect when I don't put up enough money n try n do it the cheap way! It's my own fault n all that but I've learnt a harsh lesson here lol basically the wood slats aren't secured at all by any thing, just wedged between the two walls really tightly but coz if the heat they shrank a tiny bit and enough to fall with the weight pulling on it!
I will invest in some proper materials next time it's just I'm.very skint at the mo with planning this holiday n shit....chains, ratchets, pulleys etc ok do it all next time! And a better fan too like an RVK or sumin

Yea I wish pot wasn't illegal everywhere we all would be able to trade seeds and equipment help each other out... I say just frame it up... Leave the 3 boards you have now where they are, and nail 2 wooden boards along the left and right of the room. Then then take 2 more boards and center each on the left and right side of the wall, and use them as support beams... You'd basically would only need 4 slabs of wood.. I don't know if that makes sense, but it shouldn't cost much.

Yea that makes perfect sense, I had that idea originally but I ran out of wood! It was excess wood from building a 6ft garden gate but I thought if it could last me just one grow I could make some money n buy all proper equipment to do the job again....I've been looking this problem up online n most ppl say to cut the dead parts away....not quite sure how to cut it if that's what I should do, straight cut under the burnt bits?

I've been to the hardware store and got some more wood and now supported everything so nothin will fall down again! I've topped 3 of them and the other 2 seem to have small growth around the burnt parts so I've left them as they are n hope for the best! Pics to follow in a mo....
