Have I been attacked by mold here?

Lost the fan in my small space and found this cotton ball looking thing on my Dwarf Low Flyer. Pulled her, now drying. Straight to an ISO bath or can I smoke this herb?

Looks like mites, or spiders, or something... poke the thing, pull it off... get down in there...

Could be mold. Ventilation (over low humidity) is definitely the key to avoiding/beating mod/mildew/rot. And lack there of to getting it. But even at my high humidity/low ventilation I didn't get mold (I got some on my soil, not on my plant) but I got bud rot in a couple spots that were touching a wall.

Definitely get a fan in there asap.

Also maybe remove that bit o bud (thoughts on that? If it's mold or mites it could spread is what I'm thinking)

If it's all over... then it's a toss... I've smoked some buds like that... tasted crap, weren't very potent, and I know it wasn't healthy... inhaling mold never is, I was just an ass.

So I've cut her down. Early, but whatevs....

Looked under the magnification and couldn't find any bugs other than thrips that I've been fighting for a while.....

Mold, up your air circulation. I find cutting a 2litre bottle in half and putting the mouth piece in a shop vac hose makes a nice funnel that sucks hard and doesn't damage the plant. Only used on mites for webbing.

By how close the white substance is to the main bud. Mites web would be further out as a protective covering.
You need more air flow, lower humidity, and a good clean up (bleach 10% solution).
The white part you are seeing is the mycelium of Botryis. This occurs when spores find anideal place and are incubated forming the white fuzzy stuff.

PS DONT SMOKE THAT- COULD GIVE YOU LIVER DAMAGE OR WORSE !!!

Its not powdery mildew. Could be mold but it looks like a web. If you checked for bugs after you chopped its possible they vacated for a new home.
in my exp it is very obvious when it is webbing. everyone knows what a spider web feels like, if it was webbing he would know it, it is not a pest it is mold/mildew
