Ill go at it with yea. Not sure what you mean by your post with the level playing field and all. Im not at educated on shit as Raz, Sativied, and church is, but ill do my best in support that your leds cant out do my quality in hps. If thats what your looking for. If your right and I'm wrong we will still be friends.
Lol. I see a bunch of effort being wasted in here, that's all. Don't know why either side is putting so much energy into whatever this is suppose to be; it's almost become a tradition on this forum and LED section that Sativied comes in, finds a way to start a +10 page debate between himself and every LED techie and then disappears, only to return ~6 months later to repeat the process.

I mean the title does have hps in it. Everyone just talking as far as i can read except a few. Who wouldn't want to read Raz and then read Sativied. Who cares if they disagree. Those fuckers know their shit. Education all over this thread.

This is my take Yup not to many cob growers have grown with a 1000 watt DE let lone 1000 watt mag ballast lol
most Cob growers concerns like why most went to LED was cause of heat issues. disapointed in MARS units and yields switching to Cob
But the Facts remain YES Cobs appear to grow there taking about 200 watts less to compete with Hid
Not blow out hid remember that its getting into the same ball park i look at it as 50 / 50 either way
for sure there are benifit longer life span
Are there any real time tests after one year use as in par out put ??? i mean that is what people should be really looking at sure it may last 50,000 hrs which i am sure there is not one Cob grower that reach them hrs yet to give you idea that is 2083 days with lights on Eh nope not yet Eh lol
everyone tends to think spectrum is more important then driving force as in umol your wrong its not its the par that will win every time

Wbat i am seeing odd is everyone going gung ho over this tech yet i have yet to see a Cob grow produce huge buds like 1000 watt or like this one 660 watt DE is capable of
so that is the big question why are we not seeing buds if par is better in Cob and offcourse the eff being so much better Yet we see buds like every grow like this

Personally i think sooner people realize is just another light like plasma CMH , or even Hid and admit it will or will not work good for your situation
Sooner people will respect the light
Were all growers going for the same thing really gets tiring when you here HID killer and see buds like in the pic comparing it to a HID i find just amuzing
OR is it most ob growers just grow small bud strains cause so far truthfully speaking i honestly not overly impressed cause i see a huge difference when comparing mass :) user152169_pic1284802_1405154203.jpg week 7.jpg

to me LEDs make pleanty big buds, about the same as the HPS , maybe a little smaller, biggest issues I have with the LEDs is the startup cost, once that comes down I don't see how HID lights could compete.
Id think they could compete because they work well.

Heliospectra Receives LED Light Order from Washington State Cannabis Grower
http://www.ledinside.com/news/2016/3/heliospectra_receives_led_light_order_from_washington_state_cannabis_grower

Heliospectra, a world leader in intelligent lighting technology for crop cultivation and plant research, announced an order valued at just over US $265,000 for the Heliospectra LX601C cannabis-focused LED light hardware and software system.

The customer is a Washington state grower with a license to cultivate medicinal marijuana plants. The first part of the order has shipped and installation is expected to start this month.

Heliospectra LX601C cannabis-focused LED light hardware and software system.
Staffan Hillberg, CEO of Heliospectra, commented, “Like other successful growers, our customer is focused on optimizing the ratio of revenue to cost per square foot. The Heliospectra solution empowers growers to achieve this with canna-specific features like far red wavelengths, which accelerates harvests, and light recipes based on the natural cycle of sunrise and sunset.” Hillberg continued, “Discerning growers look for solutions proven to improve crop quality and yield while they also minimize both lighting and HVAC-related energy costs. Additionally, we’re seeing a greater focus on environmental stewardship. Growers want to protect the natural resources and ecologies of the communities in which they operate. We’re pleased to help growers achieve both their financial and environmental objectives with the Heliospectra solution.”

Heliospectra projects growth in sales to cannabis growers as the North American marijuana market continues to boom. According to a new ArcView Market Research report, the market reached $5.4 billion in 2015 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 30 percent to reach $21.8 billion in 2020. Twenty-three US states have legalized marijuana to some degree. Recreational marijuana legislation is pending in seven states; another four states may pass medicinal marijuana laws this year.

SO, people who actually make led lights for growing aren't using bright white cree or cob?

So what colors are they? or are you just going to keep calling everyone names and pointing fingers? Do you know?
they look pink to me, and it was the guy who cant handle the truth who called names.
I mean, you liked his post, so you must be ok with people name calling, right? or is only when it benefits your side? which seems to be a common thing among led users

Is that your answer? I don't know would have sufficed.
Since I grow with a variety of light sources, I guess I am on like 4 different sides, so which fucking side are you referring to choda boy?
