So I’m wanting to make some of the old school black putty hash but haven’t the slightest clue how to go about it. I have a bunch of kief and can access honey oil if that’s what’s needed to mix with the kief?

I’ve done the old hot water in a wine bottle and rolled my kief over and over. Butnthe hash always turn rock hard. It’s black and smells and tastes like hash but just a pain to work with when it’s rock hard.
 
You might be putting more hash than kief in it? I am only familiar with using hash bags. Some of the grades of hash can get pretty hard when they fully dry.
 
tDry seive for your trichs. Bag trichs in heat proof wrap or cigarette wrapper and seal with tape. Immerse in hot water you previously boiled then took of the heat. Roll and repeat a couple times till its the desired texture. Commercially its put in a big ass press after the boiled water - heat and pressure equals hash mmmmm :-)
 
Off topic sorry op but I noticed most of your leaf tips are burnt hooked or bent. Is that over feeding or deficiency? Just wondering, They look nice though

Hes actually one of the few that have mastered finishing with green leaves and see few if any problems tbh :-)

I cranked my boards up in early flower causing my plants light stress. Everything is right on track. Oh and I also hit them with pk booster too early I’m a idiot and know better. Noob mistake

Have you tried to run your kief through micron screen first to clean it up? I'd recommend using 160micron to clean it and if you want use a 25micron to get rid of anything that squeezes threw. So keep everything between 25-160 micron then try rolling it out.

Really the "right" way to do it that I know of is the Frenchi canolli method of water hash then rolled out but not into canolli shape but I prefer chopping the hash and not rolling since it smokes better that way.

I run it through a 150 screen. I think I’ll get a couple smaller ones to experiment

Anything below 45 micron makes hard low grade hash in my experience. You will find your best end product on most strains between 70 and 120 micron. Also the strain also determines if it's a greasy or dry product in the end.
 
Made some Blue Dream bubble bag hash 2 days ago. I used the 5- bag set, here is my results.
220microns- just cleaning bag.
160ms- small amount of sand like blond hash. Very gritty.
120ms- good amount of fine but still gritty " Bubble Hash".
70ms-good amount of putty bubble hash.
45ms- good amount of sticky mud hash.
25ms-use this bag to press water out.( I pour my final water in this bag and hang it on my back fence. A few days later, you can peel a small amount of hash to top your bowl or crumble in joints) why waste?lol
Made from All shake an no Bud.

Ok cool. I know all about bubble hash. Unfortunately I never asked about that lol.
