Has my plant started flowering already??

Hi, first time grower here. I've got a single Female Seeds C99 in a small cab, hempy style. It's six weeks since sprouting and the plant is only 6.5" tall. Today I noticed pistils on several of the nodes, but I've it's only been on an 18/6 schedule. Is the plant auto-flowering on me? Should I switch to 12/12 and start the flowering nutes?

If it is an autoflower it needs 18 hours + a day (that's debated),if it's not then what you see are female preflowers signaling that the plant is mature enough to switch to flower mode (if you want it to happen now).Looks nice by the way..

If there are only 2 pistils then no. Those are pre-flowers telling you that she is mature enough to flower. I notice a little yellow tipping in the leaves. Are you watering with tap water?(city or well)

Hi guys, thanks for the kind words and info. I understand now that the pistils are a sign of maturity and don't necessarily indicate flowering. Thank you much.

I am not seeing what you are seeing, switch when you are about a third of your max height
This is Female Seeds C99, it seems really squat, not sure how tall these can get. There's a lot of leaf growth with new shoots and leaves popping out all over the place, but I'm surprised that after six weeks this plant is only 6.5" tall. The cab ceiling is 4' and at this rate of vertical growth I wonder how long it might take to even get to a foot and a half. Any ideas on a good height to start flowering with this?

Yeah, it's tap water that I run through a charcoal filter and let sit open for 24 hours before using. I'm using Dyna Gro nutes, and from what I've read they are quite concentrated. The problem didn't start until I upped the nutes to 2/3 strength, so I backed it off to 1/2 and now I'm feeding at 40%. Not sure why the tips on the new growth are still coming out yellow/whitish, maybe I should back it off even more or flush it again and let it sit for a day in pH'd water?

It may be slight burning due to over feeding. Not a big deal IMO. Also the very top may be whitish yellow b/c the newest growth hasn't had a chance to produce chlorophyll yet. Give it a few days then it should green up. I would change bucket out with fresh 1/2 strength nutes. Giving it just water now may give you a deficiency. Overall they look ok so I wouldn't go over correcting anything. Also calcium will help with tip burn so don't stop cal+mag until last week or 2 (flushing)
