Yeah i just vaped a small nug off one of my plants...in the communal volcano.

It tasted really wet in the 1st bag.

But my mouth feels numb and i don't feel couch-lock stoned but my head is definitely high and its a weird feeling...

So i know that weed has chlorophyll in it...and other stuff....

Any speculations as to why these feelings? My buddy said his mouth felt numb...but his "head high" isn't so pronounced.

Like right when i stood up...things were skewed out of perspective too....like the rooms dimensions felt off. I'm a pretty regular stoner and the medical weed i buy doesn't exactly make me feel like this.

But then again this piece had maybe some (few) cloudy trichs and maybe 5% orange hairs. Some of the hairs were still wet. Its about 38 days into flower. I know i probably shouldn't have picked it...but whatever. i was just curious.

The plant had been flushed a while back (ph imbalance), but i've been watering it with nutes afterwards...

so i just trimmed one nug and straight up vaped it.

interesting. This is the first I've heard of it. The question has been raised, but never answered definitively.

+rep for going balls-out and doing it.

lol. thanks. i just want to know if anyone else has gone through something like this...

I have some speculation...but nothing concrete...i don't know if it's a:

strain thing

general reaction to vaping "wet" buds.

or to wet immature buds...

or wet immature buds of a certain strain.

It didn't taste like crap...but sure beats microwaving buds...

My vaporizer has a removable "water condenser" in the mouthpiece. Directions says to use it for "wet or non-dried herbs". It says without it the steam can be really harsh.

Maybe the hot steam is numbing your mouth somehow? I don't know... I've never vaped fresh herb.

Its probably because your smoking really immature bud. Just let the plant finish dry and cure and then see how she smokes.

The vaping of the fresh junk is fine. It's a bit "planty," but the heat range is perfect to decarboxylate the THC acid, thus "activating" the THC that would have occurred during drying and curing, all of it... ;). The plant flavor I understand can only be reduced by drying/curing. I just have a tasty hand-rolled American Spirit Organic cig at the ready to clear my palate of the chlorophyll flavor.... ;)

i use my volcano to test my crop also...

if i fill the bowl with wet buds, it makes a bag or 2 of "wet vapor" - that lets you really taste the bud and the essence... after that the herb is dried and starts putting off lots of vapor...

the early stone is definitely different... smoking blueberry (indica dom) early out of the volcano gave a slight head buzz too, but when its done its almost all body stone.

it definitely works, you can also save all of your vaporizer leftovers and use them for butter and stuff, which i didnt know until recently ;-)

I have an extreme and have tried smoking fresh herb before. It definitely does the job, but doesn't taste the greatest. It's for sure a more of a head high as suppose to a body buzz. I'm not a fan of it and won't do it unless I have to.

I imagine the buzz is different do to the fact that different chemicals are working to make the buds grow, so who really knows what's going on.

It is a perk to having the vaporizer though. Using the duff for budder after is great also.

It doesn't really work until like week 3-4 of curing. Easier to just smoke the semi-wet buds. Otherwise it tastes like a lawn mower bag

If it gets more potent with curing, why is it that the best iceolator is made from fresh freezed trim?It kinda makes a double standard this tread, thc is active right of the bat but drying reduce clorophyll so u need less to make u high because most of the weight is in clorophyl

I agree, this concept is a bit confusing. I think one reason that you are supposed to use fresh/wet trim for making hash is because if you use dry trim it will crumble and all the particles will clog up your screens and make the process more difficult/time consuming...I'm not positive about that though. Does anyone know the "scientific" answer to this?
