Has anyone used Miracle-Gro Bloom Booster Fertilizer for flowering?

Has anybody that grows indoors using CFL lighting personally used Miracle-Gro Bloom Booster fertilizer during the flowering stage? And if so, what were the results?

I realize alot of people frown upon the idea or hearing of people using Miracle-Gro porducts when growing. The truth is that i'm on a tight budget at the moment and this is my first grow indoors. I plan on upgrading and giving Fox Farm products (FF Ocean Forest soil, and Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom for fertilizers) a try, considering i've just recieved 5 feminized Super Lemon Haze seeds from amsterdam. (HTCC 1st Prize Genetics).

But for now i'm working with all Mircal-Gro products (2/3 Miracle-Gro moisture control soil, 1/3 pearlite, i've used in very diluted amounts 1/4 of the concetration of Miracle-Gro All Purpose fertilizer 24-8-16 during vegging...i'm moving into flowering very shortly just a few days from now). Now i'm asking if Miracle Gro Bloom Booster fertilizer is something good to use during the flowering stage? Its NPK is 15-30-15.

I know nitrogen is especially important during vegging, and higher levels of phosphorous are very much important during the flowering stage. Any comments regarding this fertilizer used during flowering would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Oh and if your interested in seeing my pics if it in anyway helps give you a better explanation you can check my album out, and read the captions as well.

I use MG outdoors but not indoors. If you use MG indoors be sure to flush on a regular schedule. The problem is MG is too strong for indoors and can cause deficencys. So feed then flush the next 2 times then feed again and you should be OK!

It works ok but it's much harder to use than a real quality fertilizer because it burns so easily but even if you fed full strength you still can't give the plant enough of it to satisfy the plants needs for calcium and magnesium, you'll need a supplement for that which can be just as expensive as buying a quality fert to start with unless you find some cal-mag pills to crush up or epsom salts to use or something but using cheap easy burning nutes and substitute additives can get even trickier.

No to mention ph issues...

Do what you have to do. I am also using it right now in fact but I'm not exactly loving life and am always having problems with less than perfectly healthy plants and it's been a real struggle.

However to be fair my plants are big and only I would be stupid enough to try to grow trees taller than the ceiling with crap nutrients.

LMAO !! Gimme a break, I used it my last grow according to the directions on the box. Always fed when I watered the recommended mixture and also sparayed on the leaves every day. Almost immpossible to get fert burn unless you dont follow the directions which are clearly printed on box and your measuring cup has 2 sizes. An outdoor big spoon and an indoor very small spoon to measure per gallon of water. Im tired of every1 knocking Miracle gro. Look at my plants do they look like they are hurtin ?? Hell no !! Miracle gro potting mix u can purchase at just about any store.

You missed what I was doing I wasn't knocking it I was explaining it's limits. Your little plants are one thing but try to grow plants like these as I have with miracle grow and you will learn a lot more about it.

Look at my plant dude, it takes a lot more to get to this point than your little plants.
Yours are like seedlings in comparison, anyone could grow those.

Ok I might have come off a lil bitchy sorry, mBut I only use mg foir my vegging. When I go to flower I transplant into soil and use bloombooster and fish emulsion with 20% perlite, and vermaculite. Sometimes I use worm castings or bat guano but I kinda grow different every time still tryin to find the perfect mix.

The powder? I've used it, it works well as long as you use a little less than it recommends, my grow wasn't under cfls though.

This is my first time growing and I have a decent sized closet that I am growing in. My lighting is fine and everything seems decent but I am looking for my plants to get bigger. I LST'D her and the heads are coming out of each node and then on the new growth nodes too. What can I do to get it to get to that next level. I will try to post pics asap.

miracle grow is fine. people just like to jump on the band wagon and bash mg. It cant be that fuckin bad if its one of the most popular fertilizers sold. I'm still on my first grow but i've used some regular miracle grow for veg and im starting to try the bloom MG now that my plants are in flowering. I think you just need to be careful not to over do it cuz it will deff burn your plants if you do it wrong. As far as taste goes, if you flush your plants properly before harvest it shouldnt effect the taste much. do you really think mass marijuana growers spend thousands of dollars on fox farm nutes? i doubt it, they probably use miracle grow or some other cheap fert.

i use miracle grow soil and fertilizer, mixed by box directions and have never had any issues. plants thrive on it. just flush a week before harvest and you wont have any chemical taste whatsoever.

Ok heres the deal from an experienced Miracle grower. 1st thing, theres only 3 kinds of MG potting mix that work for weed. The regular in the green bag, the moisture control and the violet/flower MG. The organic MG is awful for weed and wont even grow it. I use the all pupose powder and the potting mix both and Bloom booster 1st 4 weeks of flower and have never had fert burn. But you do have to flush a lot more than 1 week prior to harvest or you will get a pine sole kinda taste. I say use only water the last 4 weeks of flower and flush thoughroughly 2 weeks before harvest. Thats the only way to get rid of the taste. And your buds will be nice and frosty. And big. Also MG weed needs to be cured for at least 2 weeks perferrably 2 months for premium tasting smoke. Of course every strains a lil different.

GreenMeter, if I could make a quick point that u might want to think about. Miracle grow is for gardens and even though it has neuts in it that are needed it also contains a natural weedd killer inside it as well. My suggestion to you would be to get real organic soil online or a local hrdro store and do it right, I mean u dont want anything that has a natural weed killer in it even if its for garden weeds. Good luck

I am a new grower second grow. Indoor/Outdoor. I use the MG Bloom Booster as a primary. Mainly it seems that MG is easier to keep from burning when you are new. Versus the liquid that you put an extra drop in and your plant is done with. Experienced growers change to chem ferts when their experience takes them that way. GET EXPERIENCE BEFORE BETTER NUTES

Miracle-Gro will work fine if used as directed. I use the houseplant rate ( 1 tsp/gal) for the first watering at flowering then 1/2 that until flushing 2 weeks before harvest. You don't have to pay the ripoff prices for the designer fertilizers, a molecule of Nitrogen is the same in it's elemental form whether it comes from Monsanto or bat guano. The MG ferts are 15 to 30 times stronger than the designer counterparts so close attention to feeding directions are important. Flush for two weeks before flowering with plain water and there will be no chemical taste.

Any complete and balanced fertilizer with micro elements will grow good plants. No need to buy a bunch of expensive additives if you give the plant it's required elements. Pay no attention to the weed killer idea, this is just not true. There is no weed killer in MG, only NPK Boron copper iron and manganese
