Hopefully this is the correct place to post this thread. I stumbled across a site called HERBPRESERVE.COM and found some curing/stash jars that looked pretty decent. Just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with using these? I ordered their "Purple Kush" 1OZ jar and they are shipping a "gift" 1Gram Jar. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and helpful these people are. I placed the order around Midnight, but couldn't find a way to do overnight shipping. I called their customer support phone number today and got THE MOST FRIENDLY girl I've ever talked to on the phone... she told me I will have my jar on Monday, so no need for expedited shipping. She took time to answer my questions, explain a little about their product, and actually just "chatted" for a few moments. It was a great experience all around. Now.... I just hope the jar is what I was looking for. Since I don't have HUGE main colas on my girl, I think I'll be able to put most of my buds in the jar without having to break any of them up. Will update when I actually receive the jar & let y'all know how it does.

Here's a link to their website & the specific jar that I ordered. Sorry - Hopefully this doesn't violate any "advertising" rules of the forum... it is meant solely as a product review type thread. Don't mean to offend anyone, LOL. CHIME IN IF YOU'VE EVER USED THESE!!!

I wasn't really worried about the money. I know that sounds like I'm a snob or something, but the way I rationalized it for myself, was that $39 is a small price to pay if it works as well as it claims to. Just wanted a long term storage solution. Anything that lets light in will degrade the smoke, so these should be ok. I've read where people put these under the bed, or in an unused cabinet, and still have fresh buds 3 after 3 years. My bud will never last that long, but it's nice to know that these keep shit that fresh. I will update once it's received and tested. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? To be determined.

All you have to do is put an ordinary airtight jar in a dark place.
The darkness will... keep the light out. Even in a cardboard box or something.

MMJjars sent me a an identical container to test a couple of years ago. It works as advertized: airtight, no degradation due to light, very high quality glass. I also bought four apothecary jars (same size) on ebay to test against it. Two of the four were airtight. Price-wise, after discounting for the sub-spec jars, it works out to about the same; albeit, the blue jar is better made and essentially lightproof. It's a very nice product... Simon

I just use " anything jars" dollar store and various sizes plus you get to check the seal yourself. Then i put in a cedar box i made so no light no bugs mold light. I have been doing this for over 8years with no problems

Mr I Can Do That For Half
store bought mason jars usually a dozen for like $7. To make them air tight I bought a little device where you prick a hole in the lid then this special tab goes over the hole that basically is a one way valve. You place a hand pump over it and pump and it draws the air out. Then I put the jars in a dark shelf area and it will be good for years. Once oz jar though wouldnt make it a month with anything left in it lol.
