Iv always grew my outdoor babies right in the ground and some in buckets or the smart pots

But i was on ebay a few mins ago and was looking at the grow bags this time and the prices was just fkin great

The one im looking at now is a pack of 25 ( 5gl ) for only $15 free shipping and to me that is a good deal but at the same time iv never used them before so idk if their so cheap because their not any good to use or they are good and just the prices are good also

I was thinking about getting the 3gl 25pk for $12 because im gonna be running mostly autos outdoors this yr but the 5 gal is only 3 bucks more

Anyway i was just wondering if any of you have used the grow bags outdoors with success

Any input yall have is greatly appreciated

Oh and these are the bags im looking at if it helps ---( Note not spam just looking for info / opinions on the product ) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Grow-Bags-1-2-3-5-7-10-Gal-Gallons-hydroponics-soil-container-garden-pots-/120936379745?_trksid=p2045573.m2042&_trkparms=aid=111000&algo=REC.CURRENT&ao=1&asc=27&meid=5080067712766420571&pid=100033&prg=1011&rk=2&sd=160957441342&

just make sure to plant 50-60% of the bag in the ground and backfill. this will keep alot of the root mass out of direct sunlight reducing that chance of cooking the roots. may wanna dbl up on the bags to as uv rays may degrade the material quicker than intended.

^never had a issue with root cooking here.. (cen valley temps are 100+ easy summer time.. )

IMO I dont use em.. dont like em.. bags were developing a mold or moss type coating on the outside gave em to the neighbor

I use shade blinds.. you can see one pic where it shows an umbrella covering up the gals during the heat here..

I may toss 1 or 2 in the actual ground this year just to see how they look and do
