Has anyone seen a strain do this?

I went away for 10 days, and came back to find my girls morphing into ...something else? I've never seen anything like this in all my years, can anyone shed some light on this? They are perfectly healthy... but these strange leaves on top I don't know where they came from. The buds are only 20 days old, they grew 10 inches in 10 days...These strange leaves are showing up all over the place on the plants... not just the tops.

they are going back into vegetative stage, it kinda sucks and you will lose part of what your yield could have been but its not the end of the world they will still produce :wall:

A clone I sat out done something like that. It had started going into flowering stage before I sat outside. Needed to veg some more. But it was not that big. And its growing regular 5 finger ridged leaves now. It took 30 days for it to straiten up.

They've been in Flower for 4 weeks, I wonder if the long days here have them confused in the plant world... but making completely different leaves? Also, the shock of going outside might be coming into play but they never drooped, they just perked up and started growing like a MF'er, all they are getting is what's left in the fox farm soil and 3X a week of shultz & superthrive. Makes you wonder if you stumbled across a lost strain or something when you see weird shit like this. Good ole gamble on bagseed....

So while they are booming right now with tric's and resin... harvest them or top off the strange leaves on top? Will it make a difference at this point? I guess the other option if they are Vegging again, top the buds off, and let them re-flower in a month or two... I've read it can be done...

yeah it must have been flowering and than started recieving long days so it reverted back to vegetative growth.

i agree i think it is starting to veg again

it seems like this happend to alot of people on here

Only because those people dont understand the plants Photoperiod.

I used clones this year and they are all in veg and have been since they were planted. The difference is I photoperiod acclimatized my clones for spring planting.

The same thing happened to my indoor bagseed clone that I threw outside in my greenhouse to experiment on in order to see if the strain could survive in my outdoor greenhouse environment....these are pictures of what occurred:

So... to save the good size buds it has grown so far, and since it's now obvious that it is re-vegging (thanks for posting those pics weedoozie) think it's a good idea to top the buds / colas and let it re-veg then go to flower (I'm going to let them do their thing) on it's own and see where it goes? With these huge leaves it's growing now I'd be interested in seeing what kind of buds she'll flower with when the days shorten up...I'm thinking it's going to absorb the energy that was towards growing flowers and they will die off anyhow.

Amen to that.

no need to cut the buds off dude just let it do it thing.

its re-vegging buddy.I have a plant re-vegging but i harvested half the plant before it got to bad..ended up with an early harvest of 32g dried.
good luck

I think I'm going to trim the bud back on one plant, then see what happens from there. Thanks for all the input, I missed the obvious and read into it like an ass... what did I think 14hr days would do to a plant that was comfy at 12/12... I hate being over-analytical some times. I should post what they looked like just 18-20 days back, it's night and day... I'll reformat them and post em up later on.

so would u guys reveg that plant, i got one doing that to me out of my 11 fem. grow....but at like 3 weeks 12/12 would a 14 hr light schedule mess it to much if i left it out for a 3 weeks top outside? i dont got serperate veg room
