I got this stuff at home depot, and mixed it about 60% soil and 40% perlite. Has anyone else ever used this stuff or anything? I think it looks promising.
Has anyone ever used Supersoil Potting soil?

Yeah it's by Scotts. It's a little barky or woody if I remember right and it had a strong steer manure smell. How does your batch feel and smell? It could vary by region. I'm on the west coast and when I used it in my garden my plants did fine. It's a good soil.
Lately I've been buying Patio Plus potting soil made by Kellogg because it's a few dollars cheaper and well it isn't made by Scotts (a plus in my book). Kellogg is woody too and at first I didn't like that, but whatever it worked. These woody manure based potting soils worked just as good as the more expensive coconut coir and peat moss based potting soils as far I could see. I didn't add lime. I did apply an all-purpose fertilizer (NPK 4-4-4) in the spring and again in the fall.I tested my soil a few times during the growing season and used the results to tell me when to fertilize.

That's weird, mine doesn't have any bark or anything in it at all, it feels and looks like a good soil. I transplanted a seedling into my mix yesterday and so far it doesn't seem to be having any ill reactions to it.

I've used it for misc. vegetables and house plants, has always worked well.
