has anyone ever tried drying there finished plants by simply stop watering them? like leave them in there pots and everything... just let them naturally dry out as a whole plant?... to me it seems like it might be the best way to have the slowest even dry.

no, please dont try that. u already know thats not the way to go.
might as well just cut your crop and through it in the trash.

No I wouldn't suggest it I left the bottom buds to dry like that on my last grow and they seemed to lose the good smell that the others I hanged to dry.

Here's what someone wrote in another thread:

• I found the best smoke i have ever had was from a couple of small plants i just stopped watering at the end of flower and let them dry in the soil and everything. Took over 2 weeks but was soooo tasty and smooth to smoke, extra sticky aswell and potent.

well ones I forget one of my plants on some place and I found it later on when it was totally dry. Taste was like nothing but the high was very very high
