Has anyone ever tried cleaning a glass bowl with a pressure cooker?

Would this work? I have a pressure cooker and plenty of glass, but I'm worried about fuckin it up. Anyone ever tried it?

Rubbing Alcohol and Salt work the best... I don't see why you wouldn't just do that.

HOWEVER... if you have very tight crevices in one of your slides (bowls) and alcy/ salt wont reach it, you can "Consider the following" (hahahaha Bill Nye reference bitches!).

Take a shitty glass coffee cup and fill it half way up with tap water, now take your bowl piece and place it in the water upside down (So the part you put your weed in is on the bottom under water). Take a napkin and place it over the cup, and throw that bitch in the microwave and turn it on high. Watch it until you start seeing it boil, it will actually boil OUT all of the resin from your bowl into the cup or paper towel. Change water, rinse resin, and repeat as many times necessary.

Do that however many times necesary (you can look and tell) THEN do another Alcohol and Salt rinse in a Tupperware container.

Say hello to your brand new bowl.

fingernail polish remover leaves an aftertaste that is almost impossible to remove.
the preassure cooker idea isnt specifically good or bad, other than still needing a solvent, the smell of resin steam, and possibly ruining the temper of the glass. i suggest straight rubbing alchohol heated to no more than 215F, or acetone at any temp, or ether.

or if ur a sick fuck you can use some 151 as a solvent filter through a coffee filter, let it settle a week, skim top (oil :-), seperate remainder from sediment flavor with something ultra pungent (cinnamon can work) and serve as "nasty shots" at a party where everyone pukes on ur couch lol (ahhh memories)

take a ziplock bag. put your pipe in it. fill it up about quarter full and close the ziplock bag. hold the pipe and shake the hell out of it for a minute. wash it out with water and there ya go

I hate using hydrogen peroxide + salt, or iso + salt because A: They don't do well on crevices and B: They do not take away the taste of old smoke so it accumulates and affects further smoke (I smoke a lot so taste really matters to me). Only two things I know of that take away the smell 1: grunge off, which is this awesome stuff that comes in a bottle and you put the bowl in for an hour if its really bad and poof no more resin at all. None, its magic. There's two problems with it though, it costs a good amount for one bottle and I have to actually go get it at a head shop, which is somewhat of a trip for me and time is not on my hands. It is good in that its super effective and it can be reused for months. The second thing that takes away taste is boiling the bowl in a pot of water on the stove. I just began growing shrooms and thus had to buy a pressure cooker and out of curiosity and lack of grunge off, I thought that maybe I could put a dirty bowl in the pressure cooker and get it super clean.

I've heard you can usse a pressure cooker to steralize glass but I wouldn't do it in mine because it was expensive and where would the resin go? I am sure it goes right in the pot. It would probably ruin the cooker. I use mine a ton for cooking. Is yours alumium or stainless?

Its a stainless steel pressure cooker, aluminum leeches somewhat. I have all borosillicate glass that has been annealed and all that crap. I think I'm just gonna try it with a small, cheap slide and see how that goes, then move up in size.

I boil my pipe's..first let it sit in alcohol for a day or two then i bowl it and it get's perfectly clean..when i bowl it i throw a shot or two in of vodka..i honestly think it degrades the glass though, maybe thins it out or something like that..my pipes still work as good as the day i bought them but if i were to drop em now they would shatter but if i dropped it right when i bought it, it would probably just chip the glass a little bit.

92% isopropyl alcohol (2.50 a bottle) and mortons salt... .60c....

there hasn't been a piece I haven't been able to clean spotless with alcohol.. iso is safe.. just get ALL the resin off the walls, and you will be left with ZERO iso residue on your glass

the aluminum ones suck but if you ruined it, they are cheap to replace. mine is stainless and was a few 100 so I wouldn't want to dirty it or clog the valve. i'd rather buy a cheap aluminum and test with that.

know some some chicks use fingernail polish remover dont try the pressure cooker
Fingernail polish remover works because it contains acetone. It also contains oil and perfume. Yuck.

Just buy straight acetone from any hardware store. It works better and faster than rubbing alcohol.
