yes you dont wanna drink the first shot or the top of it has it can make you blind. you can make moonshine with all kinds of shit.... corn, grapes, prunes, ect.

on a side note... in some 3rd world countries such has kosovo, albania, bosnia ect. they use the first shot to make homemade cough syrup

My uncle has a distiller in his back yard. He uses molasses and certain native leaves and herbs. Comes out like a fruity brandy....addictive and kicky.
My wife's old boss was from Poland ... communist Poland...where everyone had to make their own because the shelves were empty. He also made very precise parts for the space shuttle. One thing he used was a high temp ceramic heater with impeccable specs. No screws on the Shuttle...parts are heated and cooled to meld as one.
So anyways one day walk into his back shop and he's got a distiller all set up and using that ceramic heater as a very precise cooker. VODKA of course.... it kicked like a mule.... but very good. He was a pro...thanks to the commies.
Another day I walked into their blueprint office where they have their meetings with NASA and the govt. ... and four Pollacks were grinding meat making sausages and hanging them up on the print wire.
They were some great folks...let me tell you what.

ive had the real shit made from grapes in the mountains of the balkans pure and uncut. it tricks you....first shot burns sooooo bad.... next shot not has much..... 4th goes down almost like water {but not really} and by this time your fucking tipsy.... you dont realize it untill you stand up. then your forced to admit.....DAMN THAT FUCKING RAKKI GOT MY ASS!!! LOL
