Harvesting

Does the time you harvest (the stage the trichomes are in) actually effect the type of high you get? I heard that if you harvest it when 50% clear 50% milky you will get a high, and 50% milky 50% amber it will be more of a stoned feeling. Is that a myth?

Anyone have a good way to dry and cure? I've heard and research so many different ways. As for as curing goes should I purchase an airtight jar or can it be a normal one?

its true, the trichomes development signals what stage your thc level is in basically. For maximum thc you want all milky trichs, they turn amber due to the degradation of some of the thc into other cannaboids. I would never harvest before all milky unless it was an emergency. Keep in mind that cannabis possesses more than just thc, its got other cannaboids that influence the high as well.
all milky=less weed with more of a head high.
50/50=a mixed high with a bit more bud than all milky
all amber= more weed with a nice heavy couchlock body buzz high(the last 2 weeks is when the buds add most of their mass., harvest at all milky or 50/50 and you kind of miss out on that.)
Ultimately the choice is yours as to when to harvest, it depends on your personal preference.
Use an airtight jar to cure. I'll go get you a link to a great harvest and curing tutorial.

Thanks a lot man very inciteful, appreciate the input. I'm getting an indica plant, maybe 80-20, but i'm looking to get more of a high from it. So would I want to harvest it maybe even a little more early since it's indica?

for the head high i'd go with all cloudy trichomes when you harvest. or maybe only harvest part of the plant and let the rest of it go till 50/50, if you wanted you could even leave some of that on and wait till all amber before you chop. That way you can tell what you like best as far as trichome development on the plants.

True the sooner you harvest your plant like when all the trics. are clear you get more of a Cerebral high and the later you wait to harvest your buds like when all the trics. are amber the more of a body buzz you get. I like to let mine get about 50% milky 50% amber so that i get alittle bit of both worlds

Oh, tight man. Thanks for the help. Yeah this is the first time i've grown, about to start in a few weeks. I've done a lot of research, but I know it's more experience so I just hope they turn out well.
