Harvesting Today... Need Advice

Hey Everyone,

So its harvest time for me right now since I put my plant to dark sleep for a full 48 hours and my question is, HOW DO YOU TRIM? I searched high and low on you tube and the net and noticed that they only trim away the big fan leaves, what about the little leaves that are covered with trichrome? Do i need to trim those leaves off or can i dry it with the rest of the bud?

The below pics show the current stage I'm at, I've only done about 1/10th of the plant, still have a long way to go but hopefully some of you can give me some pointers.

Thanks!

i always trim off all fan leaves and leaves without crystals thro them out...now your to the point where your at i trim off all crystal leaf and save that shit for hash or when your outta bud and are joenzin lol i find it easier to trim right when they come down they dry faster also...hope this helps

Most people trim the leaves until they reach the bud, I tend to trim the leaves off so there is mostly nothing but bud left. Clients prefer it that way - looks better, and they feel like it IS better because its all bud and no leaf. I threw all fan leaves in the trash and kept all of the sugar leaves in a giant jar. A bow of that trim will get you blazed. =). I smoked my ass of with that trim, its no worse than mexican, in fact its better. I also made about 100 brownies and ate almost every one besides the ones I gave to friends. We had a great time and I must say... "I have a new appreciation for trim ;)"

You're fine.

I leave the small leafs with trics on them during the drying because my theory is the trics will stick and add more to the bud.

Plus they are easier to trim off since they are dryer once your ready to cure.

I absolutely and completely disagree with it being easier when they are dry... If you don't cut the tiny leaves off when they are alive and sticking straight off the bud, When you dry them they lay against the bud and you end up trying to pull them away from the bud so you can make the cut.. IE WAY MORE TIME. I did an experiment cutting 3/4 of my plant wet, and the last 1/4 dry and it took the same amount of time to do the 1/4 as it did the 3/4...

trim anything you dont want to smoke haha.

if you dont mind smoking it all then leave it all

bag appeal will drop but if youre the only one takin it out the bag you can live with it.

to each their own, we all have our own ways, that's the beauty of growing.

In my pic, the two nugs on the bottom left are from a dispensary while the one on the right, and the bigger sativa cola above were grown at my grow co-op... trimmed and cured by me.
