Harvesting issue

Hey guys.. I just figured out that after 5 days of hanging, my main cola has developed mold. So sad because it was pretty dry when I touched it, so I thought it might be ready. I took it out and realized a small portion of it has this weird "web" kind of effect. I'm pretty sure its mold, but my camera just wont focus on the web.. can't get any pictures. Could it possibly be a web from getting too cold? And to top it off it weighs about 14g... DAMN did I really just lose half an ounce and it had to be my prime nug?

I hung about 500-600g wet bud from 2 trees in a box with 3 coat hangers in there. The box had 2 flaps for ventilation and a lot of dash stab holes I made from using a knife to stab the shit out of the box everywhere... I don't think it worked, lol. I placed the box diagonally in front of my sliding glass window. It's been really cold at nights, maybe around 65 F. I just took all of my buds out of the box and hung them in my closet instead... I'm just too worried it might spread. I isolated the big bud in a jar, and in about 30 minutes it was wet already again.. so I have the jar open for now.
And I actually put 18g into a sealed jar because some of the smaller buds were pretty dry. I'll be checking on them to see if they don't get too moist in an hour or too.

So my main question is... how can I avoid this next time?
What do you guys suggest doing right now?
Any kinds of tips about anything would be great. Thanks a lot! :leaf::leaf::leaf::bigjoint::bigjoint:

webs sounds like spider mites....do you see lil crawling dots moving around in the webs?? get a maginfine glass and see if you see lil dark dots..most will be white but some adults will be dark like a little spec of pepper.....but ya sounds like mites if so thats a big bummer you proably had them the hole time and they didnt take hold tell the conditions where right for them....if the web is over everything then its done

Nah I think I got lucky and just got some mold on the main cola, and that's it. I thought I recognized a spot on the main cola that looked like bud rot when I chopped it... I guess it just took over.
I got all my buds hanging in the closet right now... don't see any indications of mold, bugs, anything... I really just hope none of the others got infected. and it's 70-75 with about 30% humidity right now.
They were a little moist yesterday, but I just felt em right now and they're crispy already. Gonna jar em today.
I'm def gonna get a dry rack and tent for next harvest.. fuck.

Anyways, thanks a lot for all the help, all your comments helped a lot. I actually got a 60-100x scope from Radio Shack and checked it out... just can't seem to find any spiders at all. I just put the bud in a baggie and I'm probably gonna have to throw away half an ounce... haha fuck. Oh well.. next time I'll be more careful! Thanks guys!

so you didnt have a fan on them? thats your problem right there then.

Youd dont neccessarly want a fan ON THEM .....that can cause them to dry out to fast better they dry slow and cure slow....Yes you want good circulation but dont go blasting them with fans or heaters or micro waves or any other BS...

your right, i worded that very carelessly. It is best to aim the fan so the air bounces off the opposing wall.
