Harvest question.....

This is my first harvest and I'm wondering what does this look like it will be dry and are these good conditions to dry. I've searched and get mixed comments on the best drying environment. You can see the size relative to the bulbs.

I'm thinking of breaking up into thirds. One for a week one for a month and one for 4 months to see if it's any difference.

The best environment depends on your actuall environment. If you live in Arizona, you might not want the driest part of your house. I live in WA so I used a hygrometer to find the driest space available.

I put a very small bathroom dehumidifier in with the plants while drying on a 12/12 cycle. I found it didn't dry quick enough to lock in the smell without one. I also found if I left it on 24/7 it made my buds too dry, too quick.

It also depends on if it's summer or winter, all effect drying time and RH.

The temp is steady around 80 and rh is around 50 which both seem like solid numbers from what I've read I hope it locks those flavors.

Looked like a lot more then 4 im doing 7 in soil hopefully mine will like like that when hanging
I kept them in veg a little long then have a terrible mite issue that was there almost to the end on 2 of the fruity ones the skunky ones got mites the last week which also hurt yield.

I'm hoping 8-10 with the mite issues and the pH issues I had.

Mites are a bitch. Dealing with them is pretty much a constant battle because the minute you think they're completely gone and stop you maintenance, that's when they come back.

I'm using this stuff called green clean now. It's organic and seems fairly effective. If a have a real problem I keep mighty wash around.

Yep... Mites suck....!!!

I use Green Clean, Azsol, Neem and a few NPS in my perpetual indoor garden.

4 weeks before harvesting currently flowering plants...
3-5 Clones and/or any plant new to my indoor garden --->> Goes into Happy Frog---> 2 gallon smart pots and these get sprayed with Green Clean while in the clone cabinet quarantined and growing roots under a single 600w MH at 50% power for 3 weeks then 75% power for week 4. They get 18/6 and usually come out of that cabinet at about 14-24 inches.

I usually only flower 3-5 plants at a time so then I transfer 3-5 of them from the 2 gallon pots to 7 gallon pots of Happy Frog, spray them/saturate them again with Green Clean and put them into the Flowering room under two 600w HPS at 100% and a 1000w MH at 75%.

Week two of flower and all 3-5 plants are under 2200 watts of lights at 100% power for 12/12.
Every 2 weeks for the first month of flower (12/12), I respray with Green Clean and soil drench with Azsol.

After week 5 of flower I only soil drench with Azsol.
I keep the Neem on standby just in-case but only use it if I get overrun...

NO MITES IN A WHILE NOW...!!

Averaging 27-30ozs Dry... off 3 plants.
