Harvest now or wait?

almost 9 weeks now. While it may be difficult to make out in the pictures, the colas are frosty as hell. I'm still hesitant to chop because of all the erect white hairs. This is my first grow, so no reference point yet.

I cut off nutes 5 days ago and began leeching with distilled water. I think I timed it decently.. opinions? Plan on harvesting very soon..

You've done so well getting this far, don't harvest until you check out the trichomes with a 60x mag! You're the first newbie I've seen who hasn't harvested their first crop early...I know I did, and most of us on here, so don't fuck it up now...

I checked trichomes.. I have a 60-100x led mag. No amber trichs spotted.. but a lot of developed 'stalks'.

in any case.. it feels too early still.

Have a look at the thread in my signature, About halfway down the first post there is a video called "The Keeper - When to harvest"
Watch that video as it will tell you what you need to know about trichomes as a beginner.

EDIT:
Amber = Head high, narcotic feel
Milky white = Body high, loose and lazy smooth feel
Milky turning amber = full body high, all around best high

I'm in the same position with a white widow x big bud......if they only sold self restraint at the hydro shop!

Yeah I would harvest just as you notice they are starting to turn amber. Trust me the wait will be worth it

haha. thanks for the replies.

i'll wait. i've been examining tiny pieces of bud plucked with tweezers.. hardly any signs of amber coloring at all. I wanna say less than 10% amber on most of the small bits I've plucked.

when I notice more amber turning I'll do the deed. shouldn't be long now I think..

Don't go by trichome color since u don't know the strain. Some strains the trichs will stay clear no matter how long u flower it for.

Id say by the pics u got a week to go minimum. Wait till most hairs are brown and start receeding back instead of pointing out. Once you see the calyxs all swollen up, its ready!

hey the best thing to do is to harvest by the branch and wait a week, because from now on ur buds will only get better. if you let the other branches finish you will see a very noticable difference in smell, trich growth, and overall bag appeal.
