HARVEST HELP?! trichomes w/pics!

I am about 42 days into flowering, and I just dont know when to pick em', Ive read tons of books and whatnot on trichome development, I have a handhelp microscope, is it safe to clip a peice off to look at, and where do i do this?????


Anyway, heres a close up of one of the buds... am i close, far away, or too late.. "THANKS IN ADVANCE" (Like the cat hair)

Are hairs 60 to 70% orange?

you have at least a week or 2 more.

I don't know how bad of an Idea it is but i used to clip of small pieces of the leaves comming out of the bud to check the trich's. But that was my first grow. Good luck and Hope you get some more responses to compare!

the hairs are about 45% orange, I guess Ill just clip a leaf..... i want the most I can get out of it.... THANKS

btw, judging by the colour of the pistils isn't the most accurate way of doing it.
all i do is just clip the bud leaves from seperate areas of the plant and inspect each one.

Give it another 2-3 weeks, i would personally harvest when they have the milky look, or when they are half milky/half amber because i dont really like the couch-lock high.
