Harvest Day.....sort of..

This is my first grow. It is a caramelicious that was flowered under 400w HPS and a couple of cfl's on the sides for 70 days. I cut 1 smallish cola and a couple of smaller branches today. They were showing about 10% amber tric's. I will cut done the rest (all larger colas) when I hit about 40% amber.
I am going to dry and cure for about a month. I will let everyone know which harvest was better, imo, after the cure.....Thanks

Looks pretty good to me. Try not to roll the buds around on the newspaper too much, a lot of trichs will come right off.

Enjoy the smoke.

Please don't let your trichs hit 40% amber. That is simply losing THC. try your bud now for the high... if you like it, chop...

We Have sampled it uncured. It was a nice buzz that didn't last very long. That will come with curing, I guess. This is my first grow so I am not experienced with density yet.
I am going to cut the rest over the weekend so I don't think it'll make it more than 20% amber .

Thanks for your advice.....

Would wax paper help prevent this or does it just happen regardless if you lay down a freshly cut branch? Just trying to prepare for my first harvest. Planned on cutting and laying them in rubbermaid tubs lined with wax paper, gently and not stacking them on top of each other..

Thanks,

X

Most fresh cut is resinous and sticky anyways. I've always laid my buds down after manicuring and before hanging. I still get high...

I dunno...
My friend and I grew 3 Caramelicious plants and while they looked pretty nice, the potency just wasn't there. It's even advertised as a low grade strain I think?

I'm not sure how well wax paper would work, I have never tried it.

I can't imagine it will damage your smoke beyond losing a few trichs though.
