harsh keif

Kind of an obvious question maybe, but I'm curious your experiences. My last run I screwed up a and didn't cut back on nitrogen as much as I should have, and had some lock out issues as well. Anyway, the flowers have been harsh, but did eventually cure away a lot of the harshness after about two months. However, I've noticed the kief I made from the trim, the stuff out of my 120 bag anyway, is also kind of harsh. At least, it gets really really harsh if I pile too much of it up in the bowl, like on the second hit after it's melted a bit.

Is this just because I'm hitting it too hard, should compress it, or does my keif also just suck? Does harsh weed = harsh keif? Thanks!

Honestly of if you fuck up your buds, extracting is a way to salvage that. If your kief is harsh, I'm thinking it's most likely the strain.
