It came today seems well put together..Fired it up next to my mars 144x3 reflector and the intensity from the hans is amazing..So the 144x3 will be used for mums etc and the hans will go in a 1mx.5m tent see what happens...

@FranJan sorry no pix as no camera and i don't trust myself removing geotags etc..As for a journal well this is sort of one in the early stages..As for anything, well this is something here..
@PSUAGRO. yes they seem so much more efficient..thankyou.

It is very quiet compared to chinese panels very bearable..I am still vegging the next batch so will have it in a 1mx.5 tent in the next few weeks and may even have a camera then to take some pics..

So the panel has a fault already the fan has slowed down..so can't be used..I have to wait till 14th feb as he is away..He also said he is out of parts momentarily so i am without a light great stuff..
Which other panels would be of a similar spec ?As i can't deal with delays to repair..

Can you get any type of fan to blow on it? I don't know your exact setup and how much room you have but a small fan blowing directly on the back of the panel is all you should need to keep it cool enough to run without further damage.

That's a shame it's broken but please keep us informed of your repair travails. I don't remember anyone having any problems with Hans panels so IMHO it would be interesting to everyone to see how he handles it. Not off to too good a start but let's see how it all plays out.

He said in email not to use it so i will do as told..Its a bit strange he said he has no parts at the moment so i assume i have to wait for him to return on the 14th and then send it back as no one is there to sign for it..Then i prob have to wait for the parts to be ordered and so on.. I have emailed him and asked for a refund as the timeline will be to long for me...

Well I guess ya gotta listen to Hans on that, right? Since you're returning it A51 seems to be an good alternative. Maybe a PlantPhotonics if you're in the EU. It's hard for me to recommend a MARS II, or even CREE bulb setup, so a Bridgelux based DIY COB light or even a CMH would be a good choice to replace a Hans. Kessils perhaps? Maybe an Onyx, but buy it on an Amex card to increase the warranty.

No area 51 for me as not in america...I have a mars144x3 reflector which i flowered with before its ok...I use it for veg now its great at that..As for diy it's another thing to learn lol.So have coughed up for a GNhs1 which i hope will be more reliable..
I looked into cree 3070 ab and sourced some but i needed to buy 24 or something from them..To much of an outlay and not enough people on diy in uk at the mo so would be stuck with 16 or so..

It seems that the EU/UK are getting their share of good lights springing up lately. Did you check out Plantphotonics at all btw? UK based.

Good luck with the HS1. Hopefully you have something great to show us from it.

Thanks I have had a look they look ok but nothing for 1mx.5 coverage,They do not say what the big panel covers when you use half of it as its rectangular..That is the one i would prob need..It says on the website made and sent from Valencia Spain..Still more wattage and £ than gn.

Oh shit really?? I always thought they were UK based for some reason :?. And they are £££. Thanks for the clarification.
