Just got my80 watt Hans panel today. Put a Barneys Farm Pineapple Chunk that has been under flo's since it popped up 5 day's ago. I am using Light warrior seed soil in center of pot, surrounded by Happy Frog potting soil. The panel has 3 settings, seedlings, flower and Mother. I have it on seed setting right now. Can't wait to see how it doe's.

The Hans panel is doing it's job it seems. The pineapple chunk has really started to spread it's wings. Not any over stretching like I read that some others have had problems with. I am just using the 38 watt setting, I think it can probably veg all the way on that setting. I will find out as time goes, might jump up to the 60 watt mother setting just before I start Blooming her. The pictures show 2 plants, the front and small one is the Pineapple chunk. The other is a Medical grade WWidow. I will put that under the solar flare 200 after the TKO is done.DSC02608.jpgDSC02607.jpg

Barneys Pineapple Chunk is looking good, The Hans panel is running at 38 watts now. You can see the WW in the back ground also looking good, she's just temporary. I am about ready to top Pineapple, I will most likely top twice before it goes to bud. It has been 10 years since I grew from seed, I could not remember how long they took to take off. Before I used to sex all of them now I purchased the feminized seed's. It sure makes it nice, although you have to pay more. clones are cheap to make.DSC02629.jpgDSC02630.jpgDSC02631.jpg So far no extra nutriunts, just Light warrior and Happy Frog:neutral:

My wife took my camera so there are no photos till later. The plant is doing pretty good so far , just topped it 6 days ago and it is forking out nicely. She is 21 days under Hans plus 3 days under flos , will post pictures later. Not bad for only 38 watts.DSC02682.jpgDSC02681.jpg Here she is by herself and then with her Widow friend.

Subbed for the ride. Thanks for doing this MH I'm thinking 2x80w to replace my Vipar A300. This grow will probably help me decide whether to upgrade the Vipar's diodes, (a pain in the ass) or chuck it and go the Hans route, (a pain in the wallet) :).

Noob here. I'm very interested in the lens free design of the Hans panel vs. Area 51's insisting that an led without a lense emits/wastes light to sides. Hans seems to have it figured out tho.

Best of luck and thanks for sharing your knowledge and exp!

How big is your space that you have in mind for the 2x80s? Wondering how much coverage one could realistically expect with 2...

I'll be hanging each one over a 2'x2' space as part of a roughly 4'x3' growing space, but you need to know I use lots of side lighting and try to grow very small plants for stealth reason, which is why my needs can be a bit different than a lot of LED growers.

Now, where's that women and "her" camera :)?

Pineapple in by herself now under Hans 80 watt, running at 38 watts still. Thought about cranking it up but decided not to, so just see where she goes for a while. She is on day 31 from seed and 28 day's under Hans panel. I have the light about 14-16 inches above the tops. I am going to top it once more as soon as grows a little more. Hope It's ready to bloom in 3-4 weeks. I will give her some UVB ray's later. I have 2 26watt lizard lamps on in one of my other closet's, have to see how that goes. Have not had to feed her yet, but real soon I will.

O.K., We are day 38 on the Pineapple Chunk. I have the full 80 watts going now, she's looking good. I threw a 26 watt 10.0 UVB bulb in with her now. I topped it for the last time a week ago and it's over the shock now so should be taking off. I will hopefully get her to about 18-24" before I switch it over to 12/12, on 18/6 now. Found some damned Thrip's on my plant's and used some organic insecticide made by Bayer, it did the job. Can't find a live one any where, I'll do 1 more treatment in couple of day's for good measure.DSC02771.jpgDSC02770.jpg I'll take two clone's off her just before Blooming and do them both under Han's next time. I can fill that area up, it's 22x24" should be just right. I have a reverse osmosis filter coming on Monday. I used one about 10-12 years ago when I was doing Hydro. My plant's were super good looking then, I was told by a couple people that I had the best looking closet grow that they have seen.
