Hang cure?

Is it possibke to keep plants in a room that is 60-70 degrees and stays around 60% relative humidity, and have them cure without using jars? Seems mike it would be easier to maintain a set standard in a room, than to burp dozens of jars or containers.
in a perfect world i would have a large cure room like that, might expensive though keeping it pressurized or sealed so to speak.

My basement is a pretty perfect environment. I may do a test with half a plant. Do half each way and see if there is a difference.

Im sure it can be done but more expensive than its worth and you probably loose terps. Yea im a new member but your the one who asked a question you should no the answer to "well known member".

Show me one article about the question i asked. Im supposed to know something that ive NEVER seen anyone ask? I may follow you to watch you get flamed on here for being a know it all with exactly zero useful input. But yea, keeping my buds in my basement will be "too expensive"

Creating a sealed room to get the quality of burping jars would be expensive best advice i could give you is get large airtight storage containers.

Thanks for trying to help, but im looking for advice from experienced growers. I looked at your profile and it looks like you are new to the hobby. I joined the page and didnt post anything for over a year. Do your research and learn a bit about it before you try to give advice. Opinions are welcomed everywhere here, but im looking for solid data.

Lot's of good info on drying/curing available. Both Kevin Jodrey and MassMedicalStrains have good discussions. Start with a definition
Kevin has another presentation that's almost an hour long. Google those names, you'll find them.
Weed should be dried slowly in a relatively humid environment, then the humidity slowly reduced over several months. That's the point of the jars and burping. If your room has such controls that you can slowly reduce the humidity over the course of weeks (your room is one big jar, so to speak) then you should have good results. As with so many things, patience is key.

Curing in a room is like doing a Dutch oven on your neighborhood. You gotta seal in the stink so it soaks up into its only surroundings. In a jar that'd be the bud itself soaking up its own smells as they are created.

Right on.
Think of it like this, when you smell weed, that smell , is actually being released.. Its not gonna go forever. Thats why you wanna put it in a storage container and not in the open. Being open to the air will eventually diminish the terpenes and taste of the bud. It is different to burp a jar that to leave buds open in the right environment for long periods of time

Im not an expert but have been around grows for a while. I just started my first coco grow and that is why I just created this account. And I have had experience with larger scale grows and I've never seen anything like what you are saying I'm not trying to be a dick because I'm sure there's plenty you know I don't. But best of luck to you I will keep updated on this form because if you do figure something out that would be dope I just can't picture it

I love kevin! I watch alot of his stuff. I love how hes not ashamed of his past and tells his whole life story. I figured it would be about the same as a jar. A small sealed room or tent with a humidistat attached to a dehumidifier and humidifier with a +-2% swing would be an easy setup.

Every study ive seen says that oxygen starts to deplete terpenes and cannabanoids AFTER the cure is complete. You need oxygen for the aerobic bacteria to live and convert the sugars and starches. And ive never understood the act of limiting the oxygen (putting in sealed environment) over just controlling the environment

This opens the big question “what matters more- oxygen or humidity control” to which I have no answer, but it suggests an experiment.
