well is my first grow of course having a perfect grow was a hope but like anything else its a learning process
You've accomplished a lot just understanding that ......almost 18 years in gardening ....which is nothing compared to lots of people here.....point being ....I still haven't had a perfect grow yet .....not perfect in my eyes .....always little things that come up here and there.....start a very detailed journal to refer back to later on .((very detailed)).....my mentor had me do this as a kid ....I still refer back to it each year .....very helpful and priceless as far as information and cures for issues .....and if I haven't grown a certain strain in a long while ....I can glance at my journal 7 or 8 years back when I did grow it previously..........I hope you saw the humor in my first post ....wasn't trying to be a dick or put you down .....GL and hope you have lots of years if happy grows..

Be aware ---growing is addicting....GL

use root riot cubes then gallon geo pots with coco loco
Ahh I see ....I'm not familiar with those/that .....ever since I started using solo cups and light warrior seedling starter I haven't turned back ....very successful and since I run greenhouses popping lots of beans ....it's nice to have the seedlings in a soil that can hold them for 3 to 4 weeks of growth.

Fox farms light warrior seedling starter, in a solo cup with some added drain holes ....I drop my beans rite in the soil ....mist the soil daily with a spray bottle and I've had great results for many years......I put the cups in a large box with clear plastic over the top held on by clothes pins ....keeps the humidity and warmth up ....beans explode ....kinda ghetto, but very effective.

Just thought I'd share that with you ....not saying your technique is bad or wrong at all ....just sharing mine if you wana try something new later on .........the only time I germ seeds in a paper towel, is if it's old seeds to make sure there still good .....otherwise it's rite into cups of light warrior and keeping em moist ....inside my ghetto plastic covered box ......GL

Yeah I remember popping beans in paper towels every time ....I'd put them in a zip lock bag inside a wet paper towel ....then I'd stick em in a buffet drawer, rite on the other side of the wall where our oven is......still do it sometimes if I'm checking older beans ....like I mentioned above

Anyways GL to you

Happy growing ....gotta go shut down the water tanks on my green houses ......peace

Love the paper towel germination. All seeds I plant after 24 hours have failed even if germinated a little bit. I give 48 hours and they always sprout
