Has anyone out there had any experience w/ these units by kessill as there sole light source? Did you get the deep purple and the magenta. I need pictures, what system used and yields. Really thinking of converting to led to cut down heat and power use, but am still trying to get a yield of 5 to 6oz for it to be worth the switch from regular 400w hps...

PLZ HELP SOMEONE!!!

Yes, it is worth it to switch to LED lighting.
You should have no problem reaching your yield goal.
But I would suggest that you do some reading in the "LED Users Unite" thread.
There are much better LED lights available than Kessil.
I would recommend Area 51 LED's.

Thanks for the info bad karma. I looked and read through the link page and area 51 wedsite. Theres seems to be the most wel built from what I hear you guys say. My plan is to buy one at first and build two boxes and eventually have two flowering plants running 12/12 @ opposite times w/ an area 51 in each so it looks like I'm constantly pulling the same watts to the electric co. Anyways. My setup will be a 5gal dwc scrog in each. Im not asking the yield question as it pertains to me, but what are the yields that you have been hearing coming from a single one of these sgs panels? And since il be using them for both veg and flower should I get the sgs 160 w/ red spectrum or the sgs 190 or does that matter as far as yield would be concerned??

Happy to help :)
I would go for the SGS 190, it gives you more watts, and can cover a larger grow space.
Even though the LED's are "white" to our eyes, they extend well into the red spectrum, for plenty of power in flower.

Thanks karma. I have never run led's b4, but from all that I've read and what you guys have told me I'm sold. Thanks again.

I know you'll be happy with your choice, sir.
LED's are easy to use, just follow Area 51's guidelines, pay attention to your plants, and you'll be all set.
I own one of their older 3W LED models (as where the SGS 190 has 5W LED's) and I was able to accomplish this.
