Any recommend adding H2O2 to my hydro nutrient solution? I saw a bottle of it down in my local grow shop. It says it adds oxygen to the water.

I prefer to use it in very low dosage to prevent larvae. I use it to clean without residue and even to clean my growrocks from roots, this is when I use it in very high dose. I bought it in bulk 30L 35% grade from chemical supplier. please be careful with this, I dilute it to 1/2 strength 17.5% and still, it hurts skin on contact.

it kills good and bad, and plants with good colonies do better. it is completely un-necessary if you follow one of the cardinal rules of hydro, control your water temps.

unless you're doing organic, then no bacteria is really necessary in the water. professional farmers even use UV to sterilize the res. I don't like to overdo it just not to damage or burn roots. I don't know how the hell one could control larvae from hatching in the water without sterilizing it, but with a very low dose of H2O2, it does it perfectly

How about for removing the algae from the top of the rockwool cubes. My cubes are gone very green and slimy. Some of them even have bubbles on them. And they are still only seedlings. I was thinking of applying some to the top of the cubes but I'm afraid that I can hurt the seedlings.

Deprive your algae of light. Scrape away as much as you can and cover it. That's not what h202 was intended for in a hydro application.
BTW, that green shit is fucking up your plants more than you probably know.

I started using H2O2 in my DWC buckets after reading an article in HT magazine about it...the article stated that if you aren't using organic nutrients, it's safe to add 15 ml H2O2 per gallon. I haven't seen any detrimental effects on my plants so far. My res temps are on the high side, and I don't have a water chiller, so I welcome anything that can help prevent yucky stuff from growing in my buckets. In fact, I have noticed that my airline tubing and airstones aren't getting that slimy residue they used to.
