Guys! I have a dilemma

I have a tent full of healthy white widow (9) & master kush (5)grown from seed, they have been in there under 600 HPS for 30 days in 6Lt pots 18/6.
They are not showing any sign of sex and the main stems are still producing symmetrical leaves, they are between 12"-16" high.
What I want to do is repot the girls in bigger pots before they go into flower 12/12. I think I've read somewhere on here they won't like being repotted after they go into the flowering cycle.
So should I go 12/12 to force them to show their balls or be a bit more patient?

you could do that but it is not recommended... i wondered the same thing a while back but if you just wait a little longer they should start showing sex.. you're gonna want to keep em in veg longer anyways unless you have height restrictions. even if u do have height issues i would recommend vegging longer and doing LST

You could clone each one and put those clones in flowering or you could just do your repot and 12/12 but check them everyday for signs of males

Also i think it takes around 2-3 months for them to show their sex in vegging

Yes I think you're right I will let em veg a little longer, is it worth topping em now? or will that stress them into not show sex for even longer? This is my 1st grow, is LST tying em down?

Thanks Time but as you can see from the pic I don't have any room in the tent for clones, plus it's my 1st grow so I want to keep it simple.

2-3 months to show sex...? I wanted to be smokin in 2-3 months! oh well christmas it is then...

repott and leave it couple of days and switch 12.12 mate thats what id do but thats me..

No, no, no. IF you are able to recognise PREflowers, they show as early as six weeks. However, Im not good at recognising those little googers, so I only trust SEEING balls. You dont see balls before going into 12/12. AFTER going to 12/12, balls usually show around day 12-15.

That's just one of the realities of growing from seed---you have to waste a lot of time, nutes, space....just to finally discover how many males you've just wasted all that on.

This is WHY clones or fem'd seeds are the way to go.

SWitch'em and watch for balls. There gonna get a lot taller when you flower them anyway. From the looks of your tent, your not gonna have the room to wait 30+ days for sex.

Trouble is Kev I don't think I would get 14 x 15/20lt pots in a 1.2x1.2 tent, until I find out the boys from the girls it's a bit chicken & egg...

dont know what to suggest lad to be honest but sumone will come and help u out for sure..ill be following mate..

Ok weighing up the advice you've all shared and my tent restrictions I'm gonna get some 15 litre pots 30 cm across repot all my plants and squeeze them in, let them get used to the new pots for a couple of days then go 12/12 and keep an eye on them for balls, seems like the best plan... what do you reckon?

That's the best way to go. You'll find the boys quick enough. Then you should end up having enough room. But, like others said, keep on eye on you height. Those widows shoot up right quick in flower.

Well I've been patient and as they have shown their sex I've repotted them too 15 litre pots, I was a bit worried as the 1st ones showing were females and I thought the males show 1st... so out of 14 seeds planted I now have 14 females... thank you Sensi Seeds of Amsterdam, trouble is there is no room in the tent so I've had to buy another tent, light fan & filter lol
