Gun Control

It's funny because when i was going to school a couple years back: I had, and still have a concealed carry permit. I asked the dean if it would be acceptible if i carried on campus.After about 3 days of discussion amongst the faculty it was deamed acceptible that i carry concealed on campus during my classes. The alternative was i would go to school elsewhere i had told them.

Oh and i bought a p90 the other day, its fun as shit to shoot.

I carry for a varierty of reasons, for one i have had an idiot attempt to car jack me at knife point...... i was carrying a 45 cal pistol at the time.... i kept my car. One time i had some dipshit try to break into my house, that didnt happen. And of course theres the reason when i hug my wife, she asks "is that a gun in your pocket or are you happy to see me?" i can say "both."

So, you're a big man then? The type of guy that has been in life threatening situations and won out? Maybe you sell drugs, or are a big enough grower to warrant constant attention from local robbers?

Fd', gun owners usually only ever handle a minimum of guns. Physicians handle a lot more patients.

When you make comparisons you should do it relatively, which means that you would need to add up all the patients the physicians handle alongside all the guns owned by gun owners.

I don't need to do the sum to know that your answer will come out very differently indeed.

Personally im a small grower, and interested in being secure in my home. I work hard for what i have and would rather kill than let anyone take from me what i work hard for.... Mind if i have your couch? Would you like it if i just came in your home and took it?

I'm not into the whole gang banging thing like some you may be harrassing, but none the less he has a right to be secure in his life style providing it is not detracting from the freedoms and liberties of others.

If guns were outlawed, your average car jacker and burglar would not have access to them.

In neither case were they armed with a gun, however they were armed with something that could provide lethal force. I carry a gun in the event that someone attempts to use such force, I carry to deliver force one step above what a person is using against me. Anyone with a concealed carry permit knows this and adheres to it. If someone was using just fists i wouldnt use a gun unless there was a detrement of force, such as to many opponents or opponent was much larger than me, however since i have 245 pounds and a blackbelt i would have a hard time articulating a detrement of force in court unless there was multiple opponents or armed. If it stays to punches, any responcible gun owner outside of his home will go to non lethal force first. Inside of my home I would shoot you for being there.

Outside of my home and a non-lethal target i would use a batton, brass nuckles or pepper spray. You are working on the assumption that the lawful gun owner is breaking the law simply based on your contempt for guns.

Crime Control not Gun Control.

My apologies, i took your comments out of context and misunderstood them. I am in complete agreement with you though, regardless of your background, you have the right to be secure in your surroundings that you work so hard to achieve.

Having been a criminal most of my life I find it difficult to believe that a car jacker(s) would target a 245 lb man. They must have been pretty dumb criminals. A guy your size needs to be taken down very quickly. Fact is, if you are a target of criminals with even half a brain cell, you're not going to have time to blink let alone go for a gun or even raise your fist to defend yourself. I know because I've been there. I'm more fortunate now.

I don't have contempt for guns. lol. I have an opinion on them. To be honest the subject doesn't bother me in the slightest. I know my kids are safe from rampaging, psychotic gunmen so I really couldn't care less. I've also never worked on any assumption that gun owners are breaking the law. Why would I do that?
