Guess my weight????

Alright there was a challenge thrown down in another thread.

An RIU member claimed he could guess the yield of a plant +/- 10% from a picture of it as it goes into flower.

Honestly I think an experienced grower would get good at this skill. I highly suspect that his estimates will come close. There are others who think it hogwash...let us see.

Grow details;

All are from seed. There are no special genetics. All are from "mids" bagseed. Some are indica heavy and some are sativa heavy.

All seeds wet into the paper towels June 1st. and into the ground june 15th. This is my first grow in this location so I had a lot of learning to do. This subhected my plants to continual pruning from Quail and such.

They are all in holes that are 3x3 and filled with a 50/50 mix of organic potting soil and local sand. They get very good sun light, in a high desert at 4200 feet. My daily temps run in the low 90* but on occasion get up to 100*

In veg they recieved General Hydroponics brand ferts, then into flower I switch to DR Earth organics.

Lets see how close he gets.

Planter #1: 25" tall, looks indica to me.
Planter #2: 26"tall been lolly popped by bugs bunny
Planter #3: 20" and 17" tall and these two look sativa.
Planter #4: 24" tall indica
Planter #5: 18" tall and another of bugs victims
Planter #6: four plants tallest is 29" and 26" the other two are 18"
Planter #7: four plants tallest 27" and 25" the other two are 20"

3 to 10 pounds is my guess range. My educated guesstimate is 3.25 to 6.5 pounds of the sticky. Too many factors still in the future to just guess a number, so ill guess a range instead. Good luck though my friend, i shall give thy plants my blessing :)

I am stooooped. all my friends say so :-)

I agree on the many factors, but we are trying to see how close he can estimate. I will do my best to keep things going well.

This year was a late start in a new home, in a new region. I am up to speed on my enemies and challenges specific to this local.

I have already turned my attention to next years grow. Seeds aquired Sweet god and THC Bomb, I am building a hoop style green house out of PVC pipe and 6mil uv resistant plastic. I will used the same kind of irrigation as this year. My goal is 12 monsters!!!!

can i have +/- 10 grams instead of 10%? bongsmilie

#1 - 75 grams

#2 - 40 grams

#3 - 25, 20 grams

#4 - 60 grams

#5 - 20 grams of hash material :)

#6 - 90 grams total

#7 - 70 grams

400 grams total, +/- 50 grams. most likely the + side.

i think i'm on the low end. they are pretty early yet and the pics give a limited view, but i think i'm pretty close. a reasonable estimate anyways.

I will try to post weekly pics as an update.

Funny all in the same soil, but there are some that need more feedings and some that needed less. Poor #5

it doesn't look too bad. it may fill out nicely, or it may fluff up. could go either way at this point. :weed:

so your moving somewhere huh. i am too... i am moving to NM to live their and get my medical. which i already have everything worked out on. but i don't leave for a couple months or so. but i'm got my hands on some lemon skunk seeds. and ny sour diesle. but good luck on your move and the new garden.

The move was completed May 31st, is just cuased a serious delay in starting my season.

I'm not sure if it was going from sea level to 4200 feet elevation, or the drop from 30% humidity to 5%, none of my seedlings survived the move, so I had to start over.

Next year I will be eight weeks of veg time ahead of where I am now. Not to mention, full protection from critters.

Thanks. Good luck to you too.
