Guerrilla Warfare - Part 2 - Diesel Ryder, Auto Blueberry, Auto Assassin

Objective #1:

To produce as many pure-strain seeds as possible

Objective #2:

To procure 4-6 ounces of cannabis

STRAINS:

-Diesel Ryder (5 seedlings, unsexed)
-Auto Blueberry (5 seedlings, unsexed)
-Auto Assassin (4 seedlings, unsexed)


Seeds germinated five days ago. 14/14 seeds germinated...very happy with those results.

Seedlings are still in their peat-pellet starters...will be transplanting in 12 oz. cups later today.

I use (2) 55-watt CFL's (3860 lumens/bulb) to grow the seedlings out before outdoor transplanting:

Yes......and very carefully.

There not a lot of rocket science behind keeping males from cross-pollinating....you gotta keep 'em separated.

Thought I'd provide an update of the plants progress.

Today they were transplanted outdoors, into 5-gallon buckets with a kind soil mix (hopefully).

Everything went fairly smoothly, although I'll have to say once again that transplant-day is easily the most dangerous and stressful day...for me at least.

I had to move several bags of soil, 5-gallons of water, other supplies, and of course the plants from my car, to a safe location where I could hide them momentarily, and come back to after I ditch my car in a safe location, and then hike back.

I'm in pretty excellent shape though (not your typical stoner... ), so I managed everything VERY quickly, and didn't have to encounter a single person/vehicle during the entire transfer of materials/plants.

Anyway...I let out a big WHEW, as I always do after the transplanting was done. It feels so much better to not have plants at my house...seriously like a 10-ton weight lifted off my shoulders....lol.

Here are the plants (just before I took them outdoors), starting with:

AUTOMATIC BLUEBERRY





AUTOMATIC ASSASSIN






I'm also uploading a 5-minute or so video (which I will post here A.S.A.P.) that will show what the plants look like in their new homes (5-gallon buckets, outdoors).

These Autoflowering strains are growing alongside some regular strains I have going also (Cataract Kush, Querkle, and Jack the Ripper), but it's pretty obvious which plants were transplanted today (the autoflowering strains), and which strains have been out there for a week and a half.

This is an outdoor thread...just in case you hadn't noticed. I just described that I transplanted these outdoors.

The plot is again mixed: today's new Autoflower-transplants, and 10 regular plants (Cataract Kush, Querkle, and Jack The Ripper).

Well it's been a week of fridgid morning temps, but the Auto-flowering seedlings have survived, and all look healthy and green.

They haven't grown much at all since the last update, most likely because of the low temps (high 20s, low 30s). Daytime temps have been in the mid to upper 60s, with a good mix of rain/sunshine.

Even the bucket of 3 misfit and slightly mutant Autoflower Blueberry/Diesel Ryder seedlings are still alive.

I'll probably ween out the smaller Auto Blueberry in a few weeks here...it doesn't look like it's gonna do much. Time will tell.


Here are some pics (the larger plants are non-autoflower strains):











There's not much to see as far as progress, maybe to show that you can flower weed in February in my neck of the woods.

I'm just glad they all survived the freezing night temps. They're at about 17 days or so, so they should in theory be showing sex soon. Didn't notice anything definitive yet, so I'll check in another week or so, and see what I see.

Here's a video with coverage of the entire plot. There is another grow mixed with this Auto-flowering grow (for now), so just skip to the parts with the smaller plant shots...those are the Auto-flowering strains:

-Watered the plants their share of five gallon I brought in

-Stored additional five gallons on-site

-Moved six auto-flowering strains to a better part of the plot, giving them a better angle of light, for longer


Of the three small mutant plants that I put in one bucket, two are doing very well and will likely grow into the 10-12" max their breed dictates.

Actually, its exactly like you're doubting me.

But that's ok, I know what these plants have been through, and one night it got down to 28, another 31...I can rattle off exact days and temps if you'd like???

Anyway, that was just for about a week...temps have stabilized and are much better at night now.

Do you plan on breeding any seeds at all? If so, when is the time window for pollination of auto-flowers?

Typically auto-flowering strains start flowering 3-4 weeks after germination, give or take a week either way.

They're not light-dependent either; they start flowering with time, not with light-cycle changes.

None of my auto-flowering strains are showing yet, but that has to do with a few other factors (I think).

Night-time temps had been in the high 20s, low 30s (for about a week), but as of late, night-time temps have been warmer.

Low temps really screw with all plant development, vegetatively or in making the transition to flowering.

Also, these plants of mine were transplanted within the last few weeks, and the stress of being put outside as seedlings has likely retarded their flowering progress.

The sun I'm using is between 30-45 degrees North Latitude.

don't you love answering the same question over and over and ov......
anyway. i had seedlings pop outta snow once so it does not surprise me that they are frost tollerent. peace!
