Grrr...I need some help getting my clones to root!

honestly some folk get too carried away with cloning, im a shit grower but a monster cloner.
Ive had 100% success rates for years and at times cutting 2-300 at a time and every last one roots within 4-7 days.
I dont sterilize etc and same blade gets used for months without changing or cleaning. CLEANLINESS MAKES NO DIFFERENCE.

cut your clones at desired hieght, trim the leaf ends down so they fit in clonebox if youre only taking a few then skip this step.
cut on a bit of angle at the bottom of the node, dont get hung up on 45° its a myth and makes no difference just a bit of a slant is fine and a fresh flat cut will still root it just takes a couple days more
jam 5 or 6 at a time straight in the clonex pottle, itll go runny and black after a time but it still works fine.
stick your clone stem into a pre soaked/Gently squeezed Peat jiffy pellet and pinch the base to get good contact of jiffy/stem.

NOW HERES THE SECRET FAILSAFE METHOD.
Youll need
2 roller organisers(clear or opaque) 1 small enough to fit in the other.
temp adjustable aquarium heater
lil bit of perlite.

get 2 of those clear or opaque roller organisers with 1 smaller then the other (Just 1 with a couple small containers will suffice for smaller numbers) and place heater and luke warm water to cover the heater an inch or so. Set to 28°C

in the smaller 1 put about an inch layer of perlite, this is a temp buffer and also prevents soaking of low spots as the tubs flex and jiffys seep.

evenly space clones on the perlite then place the smaller container in the larger and float the smaller container in the heated water, leave the lid off the smaller clone container but lid the larger one, leave the lid with a 1/2 inch gap at 1 end to regulate the humidity and place under propagation lights.

In 6years ive never sprayed or rewatered a clone in this system. only thing I do is remove the lid once a day and shake the condensation off the lid thats it!!! 4-7days and Viola we have 100% rooted.
you may have to adjust temp to suit your setup but mine at 28°C makes the inside of clone bin 24°C.
can also skip the perlite but the jiffys dry unevenly and the wettest ones take a few days longer.

hope this helps someone :-)

I just cut and use clonex stick in soil and 4 days later all rooted. There, fast and simple. In one sentence.

That seems like a lot of work. Try just putting them in coast of maine soil. I yield close to a pund per plant. I never add nutrients. The soil has everything you need from clone to flowering stage.

I think they are the rubber maid storage containers on wheels...they have a few bins/drawers...thats what I got when I googled it...lol
I'm not sure if this is a lot of work or not @Shizrock...because once its built then its just adding clones when needed really...from what I understand from the discription.
@dodacky ...sounds interesting, but pictures are would be helpful...doing 200-300 clones I found was like a job and it was a pain to water at times...lol

Hey I still can’t get roots, I have tried everything but the heat mat and Rubbermaid containers roller storage thingy, I figure that it is warm enough in my house and with the humidity from the clear clone tray cover as it is. How important is it to have a steady warm environment of 28 ? Question ...I Took my huge outdoor plant out of the ground yesterday and brought it inside under a red spectrum led for the last few weeks, the roots came up very nice barely ripped anything,

Did you try putting them directly in soil in a solo cup?

Yes I did with my lemon haze strain, it was a monster starting to flower so I tried to save the genetic. Luckily I found a few seeds in her, I will try your concept with my white gold strain and blue cheese, I have more than enough plants going right now, but I still want to be able to clone. This is honestly the tuffest task I have ever encountered.

Are you cutting clones from base of the plant? That's where there are more hormones. Cut stick in 6 ph of water cut right under 4th node at 45 angle split bottom of stem about 1/8 of stem then clonex gel wait a few days should see roots. 2 weeks after the roots were coming out of runoff holes in solo cups.

I think the lowest I've tried any at was about 25...I usually have use a 25-30 range...any lower and they take longer...for me anyways.
I'm wondering if the trouble may be water related...have you tried distilled water or bottled water? Your tap water/well water may have something in it the clones just can't handle...just a shot in the dark here though.

My well water ph is 7 i also have filtered water ph 7. I put them in soil with no rockwool. What range are you talking about 25_30 is that metric ph? I moved from Canada 15 years ago to Boston Massachusetts. I tried the rockwool with 6 clones 1 rooted in 10 days. So i put a couple outside in my vegetable garden and they had roots in 4 days so i put the rest in soil.

It's like starting a seed in a damp paper towel. I let it go dry then moist the towel and let it dry then moist. Should try letting it dry out a bit and see.

When it rained my clones would fild almost in half the top was bent to the bottom. Then they would perk back up.
Temp range...lol
Ok. I figured that after I posted. I never cared for the temperature because it was like 25 to 32 outside. With high humidity. Keep in mind they are weeds and grow wild outdoors with nobody to pamper them. Cut 2 clones and stick directly in soil just with the stem no rockwool. I bet by Sunday you'll have roots. Just don't check until Sunday.
