Growth rate?

Hey all, so these baby’s popped from the soil on the 18th and 19th how does there growth look? Last pic is of my sprout that popped on Christmas Day. Btw I’m a total newb I’ve been researching like crazy but I’ve only been doing it about a month so any suggestions I’m all ears.

What medium and light are you using?

Promix with a little special blend of stuff and a ghetto mix of lights I had sitting around. Full spectrum led 2 4100k cfl 1 5000k led and 1 2700k led.

I aquascaped aquariums for years so I do know a bit about growing just in an underwater environment.

Here’s the roots. I transplanted the first time at the first sign of roots out the bottom so I did this time too.

I see you got some perlite in in the last pic. I was gonna recommend it, because the soil looks soo black, but wow your plants look great. Fat cabbage leaves, tight internodal spacing... if it aint broke dont fix it.

What strain are they? Look heavy indica.

One thing I might recommend for that cfl is the tall boy batwing reflector mod.

Thanks xipxip. I’m honestly not even sure what strain,I also think heavy indica too. I got them from my buddy so it’s a mystery grow. The lights are mounted on a piece of white laminated wood with holes I drilled in it. I have another post, Super cheap closet setup. you should checkout that’s how I’m growing them.

In the pic with the lights you can see they’re in new pots. I just grabbed some breathable containers I had around the house and threw them in there because I haven’t got real fabric pots yet.

I'd still recommend adding more perlite in the next mix when transplanting. At least 30%. Seems they have slightly wet feet. Perlite really does wonders.

They look so wet because I just transplanted and watered right before I took the pic. I was thinking of adding more perlite thanks Kota.

What do you mean by wet feet? The roots look good to me.

Do you have a more powerful light to make them stink with?

By the time I have to flower I will have a dedicated bloom light.

Here’s how they’re looking today. Day 8 and 9. Just transplanted last night

Top is 8 days old, bottom is 9.

I might be too use to coco by now but that soil looks like it may suffer from heavy compaction after enough watering.

The pic with the roots might be an early warning sign. The top section of the soil looks loose, but almost the bottom 3/4 looks smooth, the roots don't appear to have gotten much lower than the top section before taking a lesser path of resistance. But, the roots are not that old so this could be utterly wrong, maybe check around in the organic section, see some photos or ask some questions around there.
