id say the only one worth considering would be the cree cob/xpe

at least you know they are decent chips. the other one is prob all cheap inefficient epistar diodes

we should not assume it is cheap 3w diodes, as there are now 5w/10w diodes available from Shenzehn. Samsung comes out of S. Korea in partnership with Japan. Shenzehn is the production facility for the majority of led lights world-wide now. Shenzehn has access to all the available technology. I would imagine most of the major fixtures get their parts or components from Asia/China/Malaysia/Korea etc. Cheap is now just a used American phrase that is meaningless.

Without any PAR data in hand to make comments is just conjecture, and is making assumptions. good or bad.

They might be Cree but they don't list bin or drive current. Low bin and high drive current isn't going to add up to much efficiency/PAR wattage for whatever the actual wattage is. These low cost lamps generally don't put a lot into cooling either, or use quality drivers... what could possibly go wrong? I'm not speaking directly about either of the lamps in the OP... just a fair warning. Might want to check with the manufacturer and see if that information is available to make an informed decision.

True. I am sure they are using meanwell drivers they know what everyone likes they sell to everyone. I would imagine they can use current bin cobs as they have direct wholesale access unlike us. They can underprice because they have deeper pockets not necessarily a cheaper product. I would assume the former. Drive prices down force everyone to lower prices until they can't afford it. Been done many times in business.

You are sure or you are assuming? That's why I said might want to check with the manufacturer.
I believe I made the same statement, but you are welcome to take it out of context that is you. I believe I said what I said, not ASSUME. I believe it was they can under price you if they want with better products than they sell you for less money. This is a common activity in business it is called Walmarting. Business 101 study your competition not me. I do not sell lights. you are confused. Can you disprove that statement. NO. Is it inferior to what they sell you? probably not. lower bin, lower product WHY? they want to take over your business and sell direct. This is the tird or fourth time Alibaba has come here and you guys attack them.. Afraid of competition. We like competition lower prices. lower your pri8ces not attack me. Get an MBA and learn how to compete instead of complaining. it looks bad. Learn Chinese I do not know what to tell you, but DUCK, the Chinese are coming and they want their profits back. lol

Just asking you to qualify how you are sure. I am not sure, that's why I suggested they contact the manufacturer and ask those questions if they are interested in the light. I did not attack anyone nor was I complaining. No idea what your issue is. I just suggested the customer make an informed decision. Why would you have a problem with that? Chinese companies have a bad track record when it comes to grow lamps, that's why I wouldn't assume the best. I have seen some better products pop up but there have been so many bad ones it would be dumb to assume this one or that one has top bin soft driven cobs and Meanwell drivers.

Anyway, you're either sure because you know, or you're not. If you're not sure you're giving bad advice. My advice was to find out. That's good advice.

So put your shazen board in a sphere and stop assuming. Cause that is all you have done is assume and then project that onto others.
You haven't done anything or proven anything. You have made more assumptions that anyone.
Stop assuming and put some actual information and data to back your statements. Your "this is business" statement shows exactly where you are at and why you are a bitter old man that jumps down people throat when called out on proving a simple statement.
So how about you actually prove something and back your point. Otherwise...all you have done is build some mid bin lights that you are unfoundedly claiming as others until validated by testing.

simple as that...ball's in your court.
