Growing Without Roomate Knowing??

Has anyone successfully grown a plant from seed-harvest w/o your roomate knowing? I told my roomate I was going to grow about 2 months b4 she moved in, I still havent started the grow yet but I am about 2. So now I would rather her not know, or suspect it, but every1 always says that whoever u r living w will know.

I plan to have a carbon-filter and other odor control methods(ONA[gel & mister on timer], febreeze odor killer plug ins) & a silent fan w/muffler box, and low-med odor plants(no SKUNK! ha lol), and harvesting & checking/watering plants when she is not there, or light about 5 inscence if she is, how would my roomate know?

Not a good idea to not tell someone who's living with you. They are more than likely going to find out anyway.

I totally agree Doc!! i feel there's no way you can keep it from her the entire grow..i've grown with roommates before, but they were my buddies and were cool with growing...between the smells, noises, water cans, etc., it'd be really tough to cover a grow up....maybe 1 plant in an enclosed box is doable, just hard....good luck and be safe...

If you read my original post I said I told her 2 months ago, its just that now I would rather keep it stealthy, hell a step above stealthy if there is a such thing lol

Thanks, I did tell her, shes was cool w/ it after I explained,b/c she doesnt really know much about weed, im not gonna have like 4 plants jus chillin in my window i've been doing alot of research lol, but I think what I am going to do is try my best and if she notices & says something about it then just make sure we are still on the same page. And if we ever get into a fight or smthn then the plants r gettn flushed, Im not taking any chances

My friend at uni has beeen doing this for 2 years now, they know he smokes weed but don't know he grows, he grows wit a 250 hps and has proper ventalation and never been caught yet!

it is possible, however first thing I would recomend is putting a lock on your door.

Theres a few other things for stealth too, instead of water cans, clean out a 2 litre pop bottle and use those, you can get wisper quiet carbon filters too.

If you prepare everythin, then you should be able to get away with it.

Remember, failing to prepare, is preparing to fail!

It's not to hard to hide grow ops, but it's the people that know, there kinda hard to hide. lol. Just make sure the roommate understands to not mention it to anyone.

I told her dont tell any1 b/c thats the #1 way of getting caught. Loose lips shink ships. Thats exactly y I wanted to keep it under the radar. Telling her 3 months ago in combination with keeping it stealthy I'm hoping she will kinda "forget" I even told her lol. And after this grow I'm not going to grow again until I get my own place

does your roomate smoke cigs? I did 2 grows in my closet without my mom ever knowing because ppl that smoke cigaretts, dont notice the smell for some reason unless theyr in the same room as the plants.

I'm not telling you what to do man. You asked for opinions and I gave you mine. You said you told her 2 months ago so then she knows. That's not the same thing as growing w/o your roommate finding out or am I missing something? I think that anyone sharing a roof is sharing in the risk so I think they have a right to know. I mean if the cops come and break your door down don't think she won't get a boot to the throat along with you. Yeah she may not do hard time but that would still suck if she didn't know so she could decide if it's worth the risk. I'm sure that people have done it before but that doesn't mean it's a good idea IMO!

I had a grow going and my roommate never knew. Atleast i dont think he did. As far as your situation, if it were me i would scrap the idea or move to another place. You should never tell anyone youre growing escpecially some broad that isnt your wife. Or any broad for that matter.
