Growing with your parents

Growing in a situation where someone else would take the fall is a pretty pussy way to go about doing things. Man up kid. I grew when I was still living at home but I did it way out in the middle of land that didn't belong to my family. If it had been found it would've been chopped and the most we'd have heard about it would've been a few questions, that's it. Your showing your maturity level by risking so much that belongs to someone your supposed to love and respect. Learn and grow in knowledge and prepare for a real grow, when your under your own roof. Fuck, I'm a grown up now....

I started my grow, then told them. because my parents say no to everything, but after i told them, they didnt mind... until 1 week ago when my dad cracked the shits. Now i cant grow anymore. When i harvest my plant, thats it :/

I hear ya kid grow away. Here is a better idea. Kill your next door neighbors and use the money in there checking account to pay the power bill. You can use the whole house to grow in. Trust me if your parents are anything like mine were you have a better chance of not getting caught with my idea.

LOL, no reason to be hostile anyone, i got like 3 small, well concealed plants among many, many garden plants. Plus im 18 and will be getting my own place too. Its all a matter of getting a decent job and talking to the landlord and until then, im not doing anything stupid. I sometimes wonder if the planes flying above are photographing my little garden, but im sure they got REAL growhouses to bust.

I grow weed at home...my kids are jealous that Dad has the best smoke in town..lol. But it's not cool to do it if your parents don't know. Just smoke one and think about it. Peace( my kids are 18 and over )

How big is your bedroom closet and do you have attic space is your house pier and beam or built on a concrete slab

Listen tell your parents your friend got you a new dresser ! let them inspeck it... then while there gone at work when you get home from school... put your homework on the back burner.. and start your stealth grow ! build items... build your self a stealth grow box from a another dresser ! make sure you build it so that no lights exits ! lets say your mom walks in your room 4 weeks from now... she looks at your new dresser as long as she doesnt see light i dont think she would even notice.

Same here, when I grew in high school way back when, I asked my parents up front if it would ok to grow a very small personal amount. Told them the bud would never leave the house, would only be consumed in my room, and they would never smell, hear, or see any of it if they didnt want to.

If they would have said, "No" to me growing, then I would not have grown. Don't go behind their back and do something that could potentially put their lives at risk. Grow up and get your own place if you want to grow that bad.

I just kinda put a seedling in my backyard and asked my parents what they thought about it. I guess I heard from some sources that my dad used to grow awhile ago, so I thought it might be alright. I asked them, and they didnt really care. My dad waters it when its dry, and he has ordered nutrients for me. peace

As much as i wanna grow, i know my parents wont be cool with it. Guess im gonna wait till i move on out, then ill just have to worry about hiding it from guests. Anyone ever do a DIY SOG fridge grow box?

Point being that if you keep them then you are contradicting yourself.

Well since I was 15, I have smoked pot with my oonly parent, my disabled mother. Now that I take care of her, this is still her house(she started renting it before she got on disability)

I have done many crops in the past w/ my moms permission as long as Im willing to accept the 3 years minimal mandatory felony sentence that comes along with it.

Now atm, I have started my first grow in years. When this grow completes. I will put myself an my mother in seperate 3-4 bdr homes. Every bedroom of her new home but the master bedroom will be used for growing, once again, If I accept the jail risk, which I do.

This enables me to have a very SMALL DISCREET grow op at my own house where there will likely be many visitors etc, and operate a HUGE grow in her house where tthere will be 0 company or visitors.

As long as I keep my mom supported and with good weed she doeesnt care what I do, although she does worry Ill go to jail. But not so many worries here, If I can make 10,000$ I can hire the countys best ;awyer(can literally get you out of murder lol) And then I wont have many worries at all

As i'm sure any mother/father on this forum will tell you, they always know their children. I would certainly know if my son smoked - but thats my two cents.

Also, consider that your parents may be questioned and made accountable for your actions as it is "their" house, not yours. and personally I would flog my boy until he shits himself after all is said and done with the authorities.

Now, on to your question....

1). It's one thing to grow when the occupants know you are growing and another to keep it a secret from those who dont who go through all your things and pack away your underwear. (this is actually very important!) DONT allow this to happen.

2). Silence is the key here, so do whatever you can to make it quiet. see my exmaple below for fans.

3). Do not allow any light to escape.

I would suggest a rubbermaid box CFL grow in a closet. I would also suggest making small MDF wood structures to shroud your fans in (This keeps the noise right down) or get a carbon filter

I would suggest growing them SCROG style because you havent got much verticle height. unless you want to turn seedlings to flower = shitty yeild. theres some good threads on SCROG setups and how to do it correctly.

Go hydro! get a small GPH pump that will gently pump oxygenated water through your plants roots in a circular system. (like a water fountain does) and get some hydroton or coco for the medium. use a shallow rectangular plastic container for your reservoir.

This is basic information that is found on RIU. You seem to have attracted alot of negative attention to yourself, I would seriously consider why if I was you.

idk about that statement man, i havent needed my parents in my life really and they actually fucked my life up more than they helped it. I havent talked to them since i was 13. So wheres that theory??

That being said, just keep the smell and sound down.
