Growing With a Desk Lamp

i have a desk lamp that will fit a 40 watt flourescent bulb (the spiral ones) i was wondering if it would be enought light to grow one plant i want to keep it a small plant i just didnt know if it would still flower with that light.


i was also considering putting a blanket over the light and the plant to keep the light in.

any replys will be appreciated
 
when you flower u shorten the light cycle.

but keeping it small i'm not too sure about see the tread about topping and trimming.
 
more watts! a blanket is no good. too much heat not enough ventilation. get a white card board box.
 
barely enough/ a generous minimum is 65w. keep the light 1"-2" from the plant at all times.
