growing white widow problem

If you didn't want advice from people with more experience, why did you ask for it?

I've grown White Widow a couple times, and I used the Fox Farm line exclusively for a couple years before switching to real organics. But hey, what would I know? Clearly you're the expert!

If you actually follow the Fox Farms feeding schedule, you'll do alright. Using Open Sesame as your only nutrient during veg is an entirely different story....

Dude,look at the feed schedule.
In week #4 it says to use 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of open sesame.
I am not saying that you are wrong but I am just going by the feed schedule and my plant is doing much better by doing so.
I am not the one that claims to be an expert but I have grown white widow in the past as well and used fox farm nutes then.
The plants did really well on it but the one I'm growing now just seemed to have some growth issues at first that was not an issue in the past.
I was just trying to find out if I was doing something wrong so you told me that it was the nutes and not to use open sesame for vegging.
So I took your advice which I should not have and changed to the 20-20-20 but then I did some digging about fox farm nutes, which I should have done to begin with, and found that I can use that for veg so I went back to using it like I have in the past.
After feeding her just one time with it I noticed a significant improvement.
Why are you getting all bent out of shape about it?
I am just trying to get a little advice but you feel that you're mister know it all and I'm just letting you know that it's working.
Go smoke a fatty and relax.
Peace

I am here to update everyone on my white widow grow.
She is still doing very well, gaining about a half inch to an inch a day in height.
She is nice and green and is filling out nicely.
I am going to keep her in veg until the end of this week and will put her on 12/12 starting monday october 28.
I will also be taking a couple clones from her soon as well. Here are a few more pics of her.

Helle everyone,
I would like to show all of you my grows and update you as to how well they're doing.
These first pics are of one of my white widows still in veg under fluorescents.
She's growing really well and I am very satisfied with the results so far.
She is a very strong plant and have no problems with her so far.
I have topped her once and will probably give her another week in the veg box before flipping her to flower.
What do all think of her?white widow grow 015.jpgwhite widow grow 016.jpgwhite widow grow 017.jpgwhite widow grow 019.jpgwhite widow grow 034.jpgwhite widow grow 033.jpg

These next pics are of my other white widow in flower.
She has been flowering for 21 days and she is filling out quite nicely.
She has some nice white pistils on her and if you go back in this thread and look at previous photos of her you will see the progress and how much she has filled out.
She looks very compact and hopefully I'll get some nice buds from her.
I am growing her under a 400w hps and will be growing the one in veg under the same light.
Let me know what all of you think of her.
More updates will be coming as I get closer to harvest in a few weeks.

Hello riu,
My girl is budding quite nicely,no pics tonight,I have to take a few for all of you on Monday.
The reason for tonights post is to let you all know that she is starting to smell nice and dank.
The buds are getting sticky.
She's 25 days into flower and from this point on she should start to fatten up those buds.

Too many products in my opinion. I think you are over-complicating a relatively easy plant to grow. I would only use a single grow formula, one more for bloom, and one additive for flower in conjunction with your bloom food. Save yourself some money, and buy some good seeds instead. Peace
jim has the right idea here. If your not a pro yet, you should stick with base nutrients for a few grows before you start adding bloom additives. 20-20-20 is fine throughout the whole grow, I've tried that ratio and it's fine. The reason why your not doing well is because your overwatering. Lay off the watering and it'll grow twice as fast. What tells me your overwatering is the leaves looking like a taco. Also each of the edges on your leaves are lifting up like a wheelie. A lot of the feedback on this specific post isn't correct and I know I have low posts, but do some research and you'll agree with what I'm saying.

Everyone of those pictures to me shows a stressed out plant that's probably not going to yield very much at all.

I see over watering, under feeding, unhealthy limp leaves, burn marks.

Are you sure you've been in this game longer than I have.

If this plant was mine I'd be bummed out for sure.

My opinion.

Ditch it and start again,

J

Why don't all of you stay off my thread if you don't like my progress.
it's my grow so what do you care how it looks.
I realize that she doesn't look like much but I'm doing what I can to get at least something from her.
I never did LST her which was a mistake on my part.
She never took off from the start so I'm really not sure what happened with her.
She's not over fed,I only feed her twice a week and the nutes are weaker then recommended.
She's not stressed out.
I haven't done anything to stress her.
Probably just bad genetics from the start but I do have another ww that I just put in flower today.
I will take pics of her today plus the other one and post those.
Your criticism is well taken and I hope that you will continue do give me criticism, good or bad so that I can become a better grower.
<Peace

Hello everyone,
Here are updates of my grow thus far.
These first pics are of the one ww that has been in flower for 30 days.
The second pics are a clone that I took from the one in the first pics.
The last pics are of another ww that I just put into flower today.
This one I did some topping and some LST.
What a difference doing these two methods while in veg.
You can notice how bushy she is.
Please give me your opinions and criticisms so I can improve on my future grows.

I would like to say also that even though I've been growing for a while I really never knew before I joined roll it up how helpful everyone here is in helping me to have a successful grow and the methods used to improve my yields.
You can see the differences in the plant I started growing before I started using the methods suggested here and the other plant after I used the methods that others are using to improve their yields.
It is a learning experience and I am here to learn and hopefully help others from what I have learned.

Looks like you have a myriad of issues there, one being overwatering.

What pH are you watering with?

In one breath you say the above, but in others you ask for criticism? I'm so confused, and I'm not even stoned ;)

I was addressing those people that are ndoing nothing but complaining about my grows.
I do not want to argue with people and really do want to learn so forgive me if it seems like I'm not making sense.

If you read past postings from some others then you will understand what I'm trying to say.
I'd take direct advice from these people even if they called me an "idiot, you're doing it wrong!". In other words, I see that some of the most experienced people on the site (whom I have come to respect) are trying to help out.
