Growing space question

is It possible to yield between 5lbs - 5.5lbs of dried bud in a 5x5 using 25 25w Cob led grow lights for a total of 625w . - 25 plants in 2 gallon smart pots using coco.

1 month veg . 8-10 week flower.

Using the same method but with 9 3 gallon pots instead in a 3x3 averaging 1lb - 1.5lb. Around 350w from cob LEDs

Do you have bud rot and mold problems in the 3x3? I have 4 plants in mine, prolly a week to the beginning of the chop window, and its a mess. Big ass buds flopping everywhere, humidity is high as fuck, and I cant pull plants out to inspect anymore. I have 4 clones 5 weeks behind these in a 27"x27" tent and thats wall to wall right now. Plan is to finish 2 in each tent. So with 9, shooting for 2 oz each, do they tent to hold each other up?

Get sole string Bro hold them up the beat you can... and small tents are evil as he'll for growing in... I built my own tent as such.. tent are just for companies to make money selling something the make other think they need at a high cost... wood an black&white some staples duck tap and your good to built a tent anywhere u wish and heat is never an issue... away use fans and big extraction fans to sick that heat out if you room is clean then leave you tent/home built. Open to control heat. Leave windows open also to bring fresh air in to your grow room as the new air stop mold an other bs that can happen.

And for you friend I have no clue what you will gain from your grow I use.clf for veg only

Mmmmmmmm this is a trick question but I think in optimal conditions 1 month veg 1.5 lbs at most but closer to 350 grams with a longer veg you could maybe do 5 lbs but it would cost more in electric

I'd be using leds, it would cost next to nothing to run. Even at 625w. That's beside the point, i know for a fact it would be more than 1.5lbs.

25 plants in 2 gallon smartpots under 625w, Optimal lighting footprint for all plants. I'm asking if its possible to pull around 5-5.5lbs. Considering all conditions are optimal in that area throughout the grow.. e.g watering cylce, co2 levels, airflow, temperature etc.

Yes

If ive worked it out right thats about 3.5g/W so probably unlikely

Also most of the COB growers seem to use a 50W/sqft rule of thumb from what ive seen so 25W/sqft may again cause you issues etc

Yes
At best you will average 2g a watt average is 1.1-1.5g a watt

It's just what I've been told. A 4x4 with 3 gal smartpots apparently you can get anywhere from 3-3.5lbs. A 3x3 1-1.5lb. And so on...

All done using cobs, I'll be using Californian genetics too. Not just some run of the mill stuff.

The answer is still.... no?

I was quoted at "Best" if I did everything right, and the way they've told me to. Each plant should yield around 4 to 4.5oz's.

If you did it with 50W/sqft as has been proven to work by the lads in the LED section here then it may be possible but not at the 25W/sqft you are proposing etc, even then it would take you a few runs to dial the room and strain(s) in to get to those kind of numbers

Also, @1 plant/sqft i dont think they are gonna be yielding 4-4.5oz each with the limited space either, when i was doing SOG under a 600W HPS to keep a plant contained in a 1sqft area it has to have a lot smaller veg time which would in turn lower end yield etc

I can understand that, I'll ask them later how that's became a factor. I've never ran LED before, so I don't know what it's capable of. Still need to do alot of research. Do you know any good threads in the LED section that could help me understand COB lighting better?

Also bear in mind that in a 5x5 tent people are only pulling 30-40oz with a 1000W DE etc and just over 600W of LED isnt going to beat that x2
Someone is trying to convert me into using COB lighting.

I mean, in terms of heat used, electricity and variable other factors.. yeah cobs are great. but.... I'm really undecided on which is best tbh. I may end up going for the DE like you said. But I can't find any evidence to back up the fact that COB's yield "More" than HPS. From videos and forums I've been through they look as if they are on par with one another.

Something about photons compared to HPS are out of its league. More photons = More yield.
