Growing seeds from a Hermie , is working for me!:)

Long time no see , rollitup..so anyway I'm just back to share some info with those that care to know... Last grow from 10 plants I had one Hermie on me due to a light leak 3 weeks into flower.. I fell asleep and left the tent open. When I woke up I was fucking peaking out hard and typically the one closest to the zipper grew a few balls.. I've had past experience with them and just cut em off before pollination, which is abit risky as I tend to always get a few seeds here and there which of course I did. I couldn't be fucked buying over $100 worth of seeds this run and felt like some more self experience other than listening to the advice from others. So at the moment I'm just past week 5 of flower with these girls , I've made damn sure not to leave the tent open this time or give them any type of stress and they are going amazing as always if not even better than the plants I got from the seed bank, zero signs of hermies ,and looking really happy. So...as I've said many times.. It just goes to show as usual you can't rely on what others say unless they have had actual experience with the subject and not grabbing shit info from other resources.

I've just taken these so they are quick shots for ya, it's a shame it won't let me upload a video so you can actually get some better footage but meh, you get the picture.

Thank you Kalebaiden, pretty stoked on how they turning out. It's all Mendocino purple Kush, great strain not on the high yield side but has a very fast flower rate.

Great info.
Nice to see someone actually try it and not just talk.

And great to hear the news. I had a gorilla glue do the same to me last run due to stress, but I was worried to try it with all the nay sayers here.
But I'll definitely be giving them a go now. You just increased my seed bank considerably, so thanks! :)

It's not necessarily herm grows herm
It's more of herm% rise when using seeds from a herm
Using CS on a female tends to cancel out that undesired male trait
That's where your seeds with high% of fems come from

You can grow herms all day long and get plenty fems..

I want to see someone take 100 herm seeds.. pop them and let us know what happens..
It wont be pretty I'll say that.

If you are wanting to see someone make a run like that, then I'm guessing you've not seen one.
So where exactly does the data and information come from that you are stating about them having a higher % chance if you don't mind me asking?
Or does anyone have any log? Pictures? Or data like this OP does here?

Seriously.
Would really like to see it if someone has a link...not saying it isn't true.
I just learned not to "take people's word on things" a long time ago.

It all comes down to stress on the ladies, avoid stress ..and they won't herm, even some seeds from a reliable bank tend to herm with enough stress. using cs on a feminized plant will produce nothing but 100% females :) there's no certain percent about it. and if they do herm well..I personally I don't mind afew seeds.. it's no lost at all and a few seeds DOESN'T Reduce the yield whatsoever. I could grow a 1000 hermie's and they'll still be dank long as the genetics are there. And also out of the 9 I'm growing right now, none of them have nannered or grew balls , and that's because I have the environment in check!, I'm not trying to be rude at all just getting my point across;)

I am so glad I found this thread, I've had some Space Queen, Some King Kush and an Ice Cream Cake Strain with seeds in the flower, glad to know I can use them. If the two Ice Cream Cake seeds come out looking that good I'll be happy.
Seeds in bud are not necessarily from a hermie. Nanners pollinate as well but with female pollen. I’ve grown out many from retail buys and none hermied or threw nanners. All were female and good.

That’s because CS and STS suppress ethylene production. So instead of producing female flowers, they push male balls, but the pollen contributes an X chromosome from a plant that is genetically XX instead of the genetically male Y chromosome (XY). Any female (XX) pollenated by genetically female (XX) pollen goes in your Punnett Square as XX-XX.

Ok good to know, now I'm still a new grower, what specifically dies this term Nanners mean? I'm assuming your referring to the banana shape of a male.

I wouldn’t continuously breed with herms, though. At least, not if you plan to trade or sell or gift them. They are unpredictable monstrosities that, for some people, can ruin their entire grows. That said, your plants are beautiful, and some early hybrids of fame were said to herm easily or result from herming, so not necessarily throwing shade.

Resembles an unpeeled banana and it protrudes from a bud on the female plant. It’s definitely noticeable and if you see one it’s guaranteed there’s more. Once it opens it’s very obvious and also too late to care.
