Im finally moving out of my parents house to live in a shared apartment with one maybe two other people. Ive been waiting for this moment for a long long time, im really really happy, going to university and beign able to grow, i will finally know what is the difference between sativa indica, and all the different strains. im growing them all. my plans are simple, first im going to buy one of those grow tents(the smallest one), some T5s and maybe a fan if nessesary, hidde it in the closet and thats it. I get my own room.
Im also a little paranoid about it, what are the security measures i should take, i dont want to fuck everything up, just for some weed, so my security measures need to be very strict, i dont know what to do.
What is the best you can do in terms of security in my case, the only thing im thinking is keeping my room locked all the time, but other than that i dont know what else can be done, like what to do when youre going away for a whole week , what are the risks of fire or an accident, what could happen???. i want to do this right from the beginning, security is my number 1 concern, i got many plans for my future and a career i want to get going, i dont want to fuck it up. i really want to do this, ive been waiting for so long.
What should i do?????

land mines

put them under the thresh hold in ya door, the first roommate to blow his leg off will set the pace for the rest, and no one will talk about it, cuz after all, you have land mines, and who knows what else. They'll be sure to steer clear of that room no matter what. Guaranteed.

for real though NOT leaving for a whole week is a pretty good idea.

keep the door locked and tell no one, not even when you're an old geezer, don't tell them you ever grew it, it never happened.

fire hazards are key but as long as you follow all of the safety instructions and not make everything ghetto like i did, you should (probably) be good....also i'd like to report, i have not had, nor do i plan on having any fires, as i'm very paranoid about fires, and my ghetto set-up is fire safe...so if you do plan on going Ghetto, at least get ideas from on here

Probably the main thing you can do to safeguard your security is not tell anyone what you're doing. Do you know the people you'll be living with? If you don't tell them and they somehow find out, they might be pissed off enough to snitch you out. If you don't know them, you don't really know what they'll be like. They might cause problems with the neighbours, have friends over all the time, play loud music etc, attracting all sorts of unwanted attention. Also, if you're going to be renting this apartment, in my experience landlords tend to be a bit more wary of students and keep a closer eye on the property and could enter without your permission/knowledge in an emergency. That said, if you're going to go ahead, I would say that you'd have to make sure that you have some kind of odour control and you might not be able to grow the strain you want as some really stink. If you are growing all by your lonesome, it means you're going to be tied to those plants for around three months. At the very least I would wait a few weeks after you move in before starting, suss out your neighbours, see what your flatmates are like. If you are really concerned about your future maybe you should reconsider the risk. You could end up getting arrested, getting you and your flatmates kicked out and messing up your studies. All the best, hope it all goes well whatever you decide.

I think im going with the land mines for now:hump:

And celestial youre right, if i do it i wont start until everything is cool and i know who i live with, maybe a couple of weeks or a month, i will also get some odor control.
anyway thanks for your advice guys, im reconsidering the risk, it really scares the shit out of me, just to think of what you said about getting arrested, messing up my studies, nooooooooooooo!!!!. I like pot, i love pot and ive been waiting for this moment for so long, but it still can ruin my life, not pot itself but what it brings behind, like cops and the law:evil:.

I will think it twice before doing it.
thanks a lot
