growing outdoors in the uk winter

can anyone give me som advice/help with growing some autos, maybe regular plants this winter?

my setup is in a shed in the garden, i have cornerd it off and am using a 250w cfl.
has anyone done this before or know if the temps or frost wud be a problem?(able to bring inside on particularly cold nights)

also can anyone suggest any strains tht handle cold temps/ mold resistant ?
