Im trying out growing and i want to just grow one clone. can someone tell me how or where to look? i am buying the clone from a dispensary.

CFL if you want to keep it ghetto cheap, not saying CFLs are ghetto just not as good as HIDs. Don't want any CFL fan boys to flame me...

Ok but do i need a tent or box or something and when would the lights be changed for it to bloom

you don't need a tent unless you want to be stealthy, however having one with good a reflective material will help maximize your light.
you can keep the light on for 18 hours a day and off for 6 hours a day. If you have been reading around that is was 18/6 means . like wise when you are ready to flower just switch to 12/12.
you can use the hps for both. not ideal but it will work just fine for a cheap budget.

First things first look at your space (where are you going to grow?) and your budget.
Consider air flow, light, growing room, odor, feeding, watering, electricity... etc.
Most importantly, Keep It Simple
And read lots of threads on here, eventually you will come across someone who is already doing something quite similar to what you are wanting to do.
Also post some pictures of your setup and plants, everyone likes pictures
Finally... Good Luck.

And that would be me...I have 250 watt hps, 2 ladies, and a closet...one lady is doing great, the other one...well, I AM a noob...anyways, KEEP IT SIMPLE this time around, take notes, research, and come here...you'll be OK.
