I just read an article on CNN.com about 35,000 plants that were found growing outdoors in North Carolina, United States. They have an image of some plants in the forest however I notice in the top of the image that there are pine branches indicating that the plants are growing along side pine trees... Can this be? I have tried to grow plants near pine trees and they have always died- I naturally assumed this was because the soil was too acidic.
